  Questionable quality

  Very surprised at the low quality of this item considering it's Phillips, Predominately made from hard plastic , with just the black front part you see made from some form of alloy. Arrived wires hanging of of terminal block , no fixing kit to fix to the wall and a Phillips energy saving bulb which can only be described as Dim. There are two fiddly tiny screws one top and one bottom to affix the front casing to the backplate ,which are very awkward and difficult to line up . Now it's fitted seems to work fine and looks good, so time will tell whether it lasts .

  I have several myGarden lamps and this one was sent right back. The silver mount is visible once mounted, so it is a horrible look. I was surprised by Philips quality here.Also, this was an Amazon warehouse deal and arrived with the inside fixings broken! This should have been checked better. So I had the hassle of returning it to the local post office (even so the Amazon service was good).

  Stylish downlighter

  Neat design, plastic so lightweight and easy to install. On the negatvie side it came with an E27 EdisonScrew LCF (oldfashioned) lightbulb rather than an LED bulb. 6 watts is sufficient.The manual does not give any sensible instruction or advice on adjusting the movement sensor sensitivity or duration of light "on". It's not a manual, jst a paper leaflet of safety signage.

  Found what we wanted at last!

  We struggled for ages to find a PIR light for the passage long the side of our house. We have now bought and installed two of these lights and they look great and provide very adequate illumination to get along the passage to the back of the house. They are not very bright, so you would need something with a stronger bulb if you wanted to be able to see well, but they are absolutely fine for what we wanted.

  Easy to fit and good quality

  Very pleased with everything about this item apart from the rather dated energy saving bulb supplied. Ours is high up so fitted a good quality LED bulb instead to save maintenance. Sensor seems to work by body heat so is not triggered (like its predecessor) by bushes swaying in the wind. Gives a warm but bright light.

  Bit cheap but doesn't look bad and works

  It's a reasonably modern design but it's very old school internals. It comes with a 1990's CFL bulb - really Philips, you couldn't see your way to putting an LED bulb in there? I didn't use the florescent bulb as I'm not my grandad so changed it for an LED and it's doing what it needs to do.

  Very good quality item. Neat, does not jut out too far, so is ideal for passage where we have installed ours. Illuminates well - does not blind.Cannot comment on ease of fitting as used electrician as usual. (No really no one wants me fiddling about with electrics.)

  Philips June Wall Lantern - Antracite

  Well made and robust, one negative--- the cable access to the connections is through the back so the cable should be coming through the wall which does not happen on a party wall, there should be access through the side of the casing, I had to drill a hole to take the cable, otherwise would recommend.

  Works well

  Got 3* because so dim with the original bulb. Fitted a brighter bulb and has worked very well indeed. Fairly unobtrusive and a reasonable range and radius. I have two which light the way from the car to the back door.

  Beam doesn't reach far

  Bought this for a side entrance down a narrow walkway and it only goes on once you've already reached the door rather than at the start of the dark walk, so it's a bit rubbish if you want it to turn on anything other than at the actual doorway.
