What we do
7 Interior Design is a UK price-comparison and price-tracking site covering home, kitchen, lighting, furniture and interior décor. Every product in our catalogue is re-priced by an automated scan once a day, and every one of those readings is kept.
That accumulated record is the point of the site. Any retailer can put “was £180, now £110” on a page. What that page cannot tell you is whether £110 is genuinely low, or whether the product has quietly sat at £110 for most of the last two years. Our product pages answer that: how many days we have tracked it, the lowest, average and highest price we have recorded, and where today’s price falls against that average. Some products now have well over a thousand days of history behind them.
We are not a shop. We hold no stock, set no prices and take no payments. When you buy, you buy from the retailer, at their price and on their terms. We earn a commission from the retailer when you do — explained in full in our affiliate disclosure.
How we work
- Measured, not asserted. The price figures on this site are the output of an automated daily scan, not an editorial judgement. The full method is written up at how we track prices.
- The verdict follows the data. When a product is priced above its own tracked average, the page says so and suggests waiting — regardless of what it earns us.
- First-party reviews only. Star ratings in our structured data come from reviews left on this site. We do not pass off a retailer’s ratings as ours.
- Corrections are welcome. Report a wrong price with the product URL and we re-scan it ahead of the normal cycle.
What we cover
Our catalogue spans home appliances, kitchen and cookware, lighting, furniture, home textiles and décor, drawn from UK retailers whose affiliate programmes we participate in. It is not a census of the entire UK market, and we would rather say so than imply a completeness we do not have — a product being absent from this site says nothing about the product.
Price alerts
The same daily scan powers price alerts. Set a target on any product page with a free account and we email you when the tracked price reaches it. No alert can be bought, sponsored or triggered by anything other than the price actually falling.
Where we are
We are UK-based and the site is written for UK buyers: prices in pounds sterling, UK retailers, UK delivery. Support enquiries are answered through the contact form, normally within one working day.
How we are funded
Entirely by affiliate commission paid by retailers on qualifying purchases, including through the Amazon Associates programme and the Awin and Webgains networks. Commission is paid out of the retailer’s margin and never added to your price. Nothing on this site is paid placement, and no retailer can buy a better ranking or a kinder verdict.
