- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 May 2019Nice large umbrella but not built to lastI was pleased with the umbrella, it looks smart and is large enough to cover a 6-seat dining table. Unfortunately it didn't last - even though we did not leave it extended in strong winds even a slight breeze is enough to put more stress on the base than it is able to cope with. Within a few months the locking mechanism broke, so the umbrella was free to swing in the breeze. After a winter the bearings in the base rusted and disintegrated, leaving the umbrella unable to rotate and leaning at an angle. Sadly the next step will be the local tip.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 December 2020Great UmbrellaI have seen similar umbrellas for far higher prices but think this is as good as any of them in my experience. You will need weights to keep it from tipping over when fully extended. We used some large left-over bricks piled up over the base and they work fine. The mechanism works well and feels robust. The only thing I would say is that the instructions are printed on a single tiny diagram that wasn't the easiest to read.

Very easy to angle and turn and is really quite sturdy but when the breeze picks up, the parasol will sway just because of the sheer size. I chose to buy a large granite base on castors available elsewhere and it's definitely the right thing to do.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 July 2018Well worth the moneyExcellent parasol. Easy to put together once you've worked out where you want it to go to protect you from the sun. Definitely requires anchoring down well. I used breeze blocks that I painted. Recommend the cover as well.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 August 2020Good quality, great price.We had an issue with damage on delivery, but this was sorted very quickly by Sue from Charles Bentley.The Parasol is sturdy, but note that you will have to provide your own weights. We had a previous parasol that we re-used the weights from, and placed a large stone on top of for extra security. Mechanism is solid and easy to use.Highly recommended.

- Are the screws included in the box? As I cant find them anywhere, the box was damaged so am concerned they have fallen out, thanks!Everything came in my box perfectly, screws included! It's a sturdy parasol thank goodness but I'm sorry to hear you had some missing. Get them to replace immediately x
- Does it rotate at the base to save moving?Yes, 360 degrees.
- Can the parasol twist all the way round ?I haven’t tried turning 360 but certainly it rotates 180
- What would be the best way to concrete itnin?Very carefully. The base is not made for that purpose. It is designed to accept four plastic coated concrete weights. The central point acts as a pivot to move the umbrella shade direction. If you cemented this in you may risk fouling the rotary mechanism.
