Customer Review
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 April 2021Ignore bad reviews - it's not designed for a base! This parasol is beautiful. For the money we were surprised at the sturdy quality of the mechanism and frame. It glides up and down perfectly and can be adjusted for height and spin. The movement feels strong and solid - more like the far more expensive ones we have had in the past. The number of reviews complaining about the lack of a base are incredulous. This design of the foot is for placing between patio flags. It's not meant at to have a base. If you want a parasol with a chunky base then you'll need to buy a different one.UPDATE 31/5/21 - Only had it a few weeks and the inner cord mechanism 'snapped' but I contacted the seller who requested a photo proof then without any quarrel, kindly offered replacement which arrived speedily. No fuss, great service! Thank you!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 November 2020Will keep you dry and keep the Sun from the in on your backCovers the hot tub and provides an extra layer of privacy from the people above. Also great for keeping slight rain drizzle and also protects the tub from the sun (when we get it). Only wish the head would extend a further 5 inches over.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 May 2021Happy to recommendDefinitely a two person job to fit the pieces together - you need someone to hold the parasol part while you slot the pieces together, unless you can manage this while it is flat on the ground maybe. A little bit fiddly to put together, because one of the push buttons was difficult to press in, but overall impressed with the design and quality. Once assembled, the cranked opening and closing is easy. Creates a large shaded area, which completely fills my small patio area and gives the feel of an outdoor room almost. Happy to recommend.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 April 2021UnstableThis product is unstable unless a weight is placed on the base ..The umbrella part blows about in the wind
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 December 2020Nice looking but not good if breezyDecent product but not good if it’s breezy and unstable. Not easy to construct first time but you probably get used to it
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 August 2021Poor quality. The metal feet that support the parasol have a lip on them where you can then put the optional feet weights to make it sturdy. However, the lip needed to be at least 2 inches wide instead of the 1 cm. There's very little for the base weights to sit on to take the weight of it. We had to bolt it to the floor as well as using the base weights.Put the parasol up today on a sunny morning, gentle breeze and the parasol has just snapped off. The metal is very flimsy and poor quality. Not strong enough built to suit it's purpose. Will be returning it for a full refund.Update, emailed the company who responded promptly and issued me a full refund. Very happy with their customer service.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 June 2021Very Classy looking ParasolVery classy looking very easy to put together just need a spanner to tighten 4 bolts that's it I managed to do it on my own but 2 people is advisable when setting up....you will need some base weights which I ordered in Argos but you can easily get on Amazon....with out the weights your gonna be picking it up alot make sure you buy some delivery Only waited 3 day's....very happy and I highly recommend it....it's massive
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 May 2021Pleased with purchaseEasy to put up, need two people as it’s quite tall. Does blow in the wind but if you have it weighted at the base it’s stable, you need separate weights or flagstones. Ihave quite a windy garden but it has given no problems. I also purchased a separate rain cover for it , mine came with one but very difficult to put on as it’s quite narrow and with no zipper. Overall very pleased with my purchase.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 June 2021Good QualityArrived a week earlier than expected. Packaged well. Good quality and well made. I found easy to put together. I am female, 9 stone and 5ft6" and managed to put up on my own in ten minutes. Connected the 4 bolts to the base to attach the bottom base pole. Lay the parasol on the grass flat and connected the two parts. slide parasol onto the base pole and opened the parasol. Have used 4 flag stones to weigh down the base as this was more than adequate for my last parasol. And it came with a cover!

Customer questions and answers
- Does the base have fixing holes and has anyone secured it down.Hi, I have bought x4 15kg weights from B&Q, definitely needed for this parasol, it has holes if you decide to screw into a patio but I’d rather have mine mobile. Hope this helps ?
- What kind/size of bolts are needed to screw the base into decking please?I used 80mm long by 8mm thick coach screws so as could catch the decking joists as well
- Does it twist on its axis ie. can you rotate clockwise/anticlockwise to move when sun moves?Only 90 degree turns, so you’ll have to adjust the base to your needs if too much or too little when turned.
- The description reads: "..... it can also rotate 360°.". Is that correct as an answer on here from 7th December says it only twists 90 degrees - 1/4I haven't turned it through 360 degrees but based on the stand it might be less secure from 180 - 360 degrees
