The 3m Cantilever Parasol from Alfresia offers your garden more flexibility by providing shade and adding style. The parasol has a sturdy polished powder coated steel frame and comes with a high quality 180GSM polyester canopy with an air vent at the top to promote air circulation.
Our Cantilever Parasol, sometimes known as the Banana Parasol, can cleverly provide shade without the inconvenience of a pole in the centre of the table and a necessity for a table or garden lounge set which will not take a parasol. You can make adjustments easily to the parasol using the ingenious wind up mechanism to open and close the canopy.
The 100% polyester canopy; an easy wipe clean material that is water resistant and provides protection against UV. The parasol can be placed to one side of your garden furniture, shading you from the sun whilst the pole is not getting in the way of conversation or taking up room through the table and is ideal for outdoor lounge sets or other garden furniture that will not support a parasol pole.

The buttons pinged off on assembly then the second time we used it the top plastic joint shattered which now renders the whole thing useless....gutted as it’s a great size but just don’t buy this one as it’s terrible :(

It was great during the good weather. Once the days started getting cooler I fastened it down to make it safe.During the recent high winds, with the shade down and restrained. The wind managed to turn the whole of the unit, breaking/popping out the small push buttons in the frame, shattering them into useless plastic bits. This renders the heavy metal support frame as useless. A costly waste of money for one season of good weather.

The metal bits that you press in on the poles that pop out through the holes crumbled like chalk and that was just on the first pole. Put the poles together and both the other ones crumbled!! Lovely looking product as well, what a shame. One star only cause it wouldn’t let me submit with no star.

You will need to buy a weighted parasol base at the same time i.e. sand filled bags! But this very stylish Banana Parosol is a must for any garden and will keep you comfortable come rain or shine!

- Does it come with cross feetYes there are four feet at bottom of main pole. Three arecsame length....about 2ft. The fourth is twice as long and needs to be at the rear so parasol diesnt blow over backwards! However, i still have to anchor mine down as even a slight breeze can catch the sails and blow whole thing over! I will put sandbags or pavin… see more Yes there are four feet at bottom of main pole. - What sort of base weights would be recommended to keep the parasol stable?I bought the recommended weights they are empty plastic containers that you fill with water that came from denny does the job
- Should this umbrella wobble on the end of the arm? The actual umbrella is very unsteady on the end of the arm, movement appears excessive. Bit worryinNo. The umbrella should not wobble! Make sure of two things. 1. That you have fully wound the handle so that the umbrella fits properly into the socket at the end of the arm. 2. Make sure you have obtained parasol weights for the base of the parasol as the supplied cross base is not stable enough for the opened parasol… see more No. The umbrella should not wobble!
