We turn it on in the bedroom 2 hours before bedtime and then turn it off when getting into bed. It has definitely had a positive effect and he has been sleeping peacefully. I would recommend it to anyone in the same position.We haven't had it running all through the night as we haven't felt the need to but it would be possible to sleep through the faint noise of the lowest setting.

- Can anyone who bought it tell me if its actually useful at removing dust?The best thing for dust is a microfibre dust attracting duster followed by vacuuming. The only way to determine if the machine removes dust would be to examine the filter and I haven't had the machine long enough to need to change the filter. - Is the filter washable and what's the length of the cable?The cables is 154cm roughly and no you can't wash the filters but they do last a few months
- Has anyone used this to get rid of cigarette smell?This is perfect for smoke smell
- Is anyone elses making a strange buzzing noise?Hey, no mine isn't however this may sound obvious but, since purchasing have you opened the unit up and taken off all the plastic wrapping of the filter inside.. took me 3 days until I realised this error!
