- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 February 2021Easy to Setup and Almost Slient on MediumVery easy to set up from the box. Included a UK plug and just the air filter unit as a whole. After removing the packing on the outer filter, there was a note to also remove the plastic on the inside air filter. After removing this, I simply plugged it in - and it was ready for action. After pressing the power button once, I set the unit to medium power. It produces a slight fan-like noise, which is to be expected; and I suppose it's a good sign that the unit is at least moving air about. There was just the one button on the unit that I couldnt easily recognize; which was the 'tree'. Upon reading the manual it states that this is a negative ion function. All in all is it a very easy to use unit, encased in a manageable size. I currently have the unit on the floor in the corner of my room, but am considering moving it onto my desk, as the air intake is at the bottom of the unit.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 December 2020Quiet enough to have on in the bedroom at nightA month or so ago we bought an air purifier for our living room (one much bigger than this) and we love it - we certainly feel like it's made a real difference to the quality of the air in the room for us. However whilst that one was great for a large space we really wanted one that was small enough, and more importantly quiet enough, for our bedroom so that we could leave it on overnight without having to worry about an annoying hum. This one certainly ticks all the boxes - on the sleep mode setting it's barely noticeable when it comes to the noise of operation - far quieter than a fan or air con unit. It's just the right size to not be too obtrusive yet still do it's job properly. There's a coloured ring of light that tells you how clean the air is (using a traffic light system with red being bad, yellow ok and green for good) but one cleaver touch is that this is disabled when in sleep mode so it's not distracting you out of the corner of your eye! I wish some other gadgets did this as I've had to cover led lights with gaffer tape on a few occasions. When not in sleep mode you can either manually select the fan speed or let it do it itself depending on the air quality. In addition to temperature and humidity readings on the top there's also a timer mode with 3 different options. After a weeks use this has made a real difference - we recently had to have a full electrical re-wire in our house and as a result it's felt dusty and horrible afterwards but this has certainly made a difference and I'm coughing less at night when trying to sleep now.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 January 2021Very impressive. Really works, currently playing liveLIVERemaining Time -0:00 Playback Rate1xChaptersChaptersDescriptionsdescriptions off, selectedCaptionscaptions off, selectedAudio TrackFullscreenThis is a modal window. The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported. We've been using this in our bedroom for a week now and can honestly tell the difference in air quality, it's like having a window slightly open but without the heart loss or wind noise. The built in fan is fairly quiet and hardly noticeable. We have ours point the S setting which is the setting that automatically senses the air quality and automatically runs at the necessary speed. If I leave the bedroom door open the unit senses the change in air quality and and makes adjustments to suit. It's much better than our old Ioniser. I'm going to buy more for around the house.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 May 2021Not very sensitive on auto. Was a bit dubious about this purifier due to all the obviously paid for 5 star reviews, but it ticked all my boxes and it was under fifty pounds. Its a nice looking unit and sits on a table quite happily, the controls are easy to use except for the sleep function which took a bit of figuring out, on its highest setting its quite loud but in sleep mode its pretty quiet and I had no problems sleeping. As far as efficiency and longevity is concerned its too early to tell, on its highest setting it does seem to move a decent amount of air through the filter, (I might get hold of a air quality monitor and try a few experiments).I was a disappointed with its auto feature which is supposed to alter the fan speed according to the pollution levels in the room. When I first turned it on it showed green, I was happy that the air in my room was so clean but when I waved a smoking stick in front of the purifier and it stayed green I suspected it wasn't as sensitive as I had hoped in fact the only thing that made it change colour was spraying my deodorant at it which made it see red.Overall its OK for a small room just don't believe everything you read.UPDATE : The auto feature seems to have failed completely which indicates it may have been faulty from the beginning. I have returned the purifier.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 April 2021Don’t buyAt the start i felt like it helped but a under a month later in and ive realised it does absolutely nothing.- I was still sneezing even though i vacuum my room regularly every 3-4 days- auto mode hardly works unless you put dust right next to the intakes- the touch buttons have started making a weird noise when i press them,- sleep mode is difficult to get into, sometimes it doesn’t even work
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 January 2021Great product but is mine faulty?, currently playing liveLIVERemaining Time -0:00 Playback Rate1xChaptersChaptersDescriptionsdescriptions off, selectedCaptionscaptions off, selectedAudio TrackFullscreenThis is a modal window. I love this product. It really does what it says on the tin, however, I’m wondering if mine is faulty? All the reviews say how quiet it is, but my video lets you hear the noise that mine is making. Is this right? Aside from this, I love it but it did wake me up this morning.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 April 2021Brilliant for using in bedrooms.Bought for our bedroom and I was worried the sleep mode would be too loud to use at night, but it’s fine. It is a low noise that you very quickly get used to (like white background noise) and it is constant so not changing all the time which means you do soon forget about it. We’ve had no trouble whatsoever using this at night. Our sleep quality has also improved so I think whatever it is doing to the air is working. My wife says it’s also helped with her headaches so that’s good.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 March 2021Removes dust particles, visibly cleaner airMy neighbour has started home improvements that includes wood work. This creates a lot of fine dust particles left floating around, causing allergic sneezing. The filter visibily removes dust particles and I can feel the air become cleaner. The hepa filter may be clogged sooner than expected but better the filter than my nose! Replacement filters are available on Amazon Prime, which is one of the main reasons I chose this model.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 March 2021Works really well and almost silent on sleep mode. The Acecool is a nice compact air purifier for the home / office. It's a size more suited to a small room, but it's not out of place completely in a larger one. It's great for allergens and decontaminating the air, even better if you use the built in ioniser. The device has a nice touch screen control on the top and it really does look great, absolutely love it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 October 2021Excellent bit of kit, beware C sharp.Small compact and powerful, so easy to set-up even for an old fart. Quiet running slow speed and it seems to be doing what it said on the box. Happy breather ? however the C in the LOGO was not adhered to the unit and stuck in my thumb, kiddies beware it bites. Decided to return as accidents do happen.
