- Does this have a "silent mode" one I have no fan can go very very slow it's silent but it's started to fail so want to replace it.The slowest speed, which we leave on at this all night, is working at a near silent speed. The fan has to be working for the machine to operate. So the slowest speed should suit your needs. Hope this helps.
