  BLACK STORAGE BOX .Just what we were looking for !

  We have been looking for ages for a storage box to match our rattan garden furniture to store our cushions in during the summer.This box is well made ,waterproof with an inner removal cloth which fixes with Velcro.We found it easy to put together and looks good, could be used as a table but would advise not to use as a seat .Only negative point would of been good to add a lock to keep lid closed if it is very windy.The supplier was brilliant received it the next day after ordering.

  Far from easy to assemble.

  This is a rather poor quality product. Despite other reviewers opinion that this easy to assemble, it was a nightmare. The last fixing screw would not engage into the captive nut, it was at least 4mm out of line. The only way to resolve this was to loosen the other 13 screws considerably (almost out), which gave just enough movement to get the last screw in place. Several of the hex screwheads rounded off and had to be replaced (at my expense). The screws should have been installed with washers as per diagram, however there were no washers in the kit. I used some spare washers that I had!The lid damper held the lid up and would not drop flush, so basically useless. I took it off and did not fit a replacement.If left outside in the rain the top of the lid fills with water and when lifted the water goes into the storage area, not good for keeping stored items dry!Having read previous reviews I didn’t think I would get any satisfaction by contacting the seller, so I sorted it myself.

  A nightmare in a box

  The legs aren't the same length, the bolt holes don't line up, the 'instructions' are 3 pictures which make little sense given that none of the (very similar looking) pieces are labelled, the instructions say you have 2 x 'G' pieces when only one is supplied and needed, the lid doesn't close properly as the hinge is too tight. I'm not wasting any more of my time disassembling it so I'm stuck with it.

  I don’t feel I can rate this product as it was broke and I have spent the past almost two months trying to send it back.It was not a cheap product so I didn’t expect it to be broken on arrival, the customer care has been terrible and has caused me nothing but stress and has reduced me to tears.The company state what great customer care they have and any problems they will resolve straight away, I can assure you this is not the case at all. I just want it resolved, all I wanted was a new product not even my money back.

  No customer service and expecting the customer to do the work for them

  I ordered this garden storage unit, to store some of my soft garden furnishings in it. The led is so light and also doesn’t lay flat, so when it’s breezy it lifts up, this item is sold as water proof. The lid has a small hole in the inside and the lining is made very poorly and the material is not water proof the lining is too big and all the edges are all fraying. I have requested a full refund from the company and the item to be collected from my home but the company are insisting that I arrange for the package to be sent back to them and also that I have to pay for this. This is totally unacceptable they have sent out a faulty item, so why are they expecting me to arrange this item to be returned and expected me to pay for this

  Difficult to assemble.

  I'm a reasonably competent DIYer but I found this extremely difficult to assemble. The bolt holes didn't line up and it took me over two hours to assemble. There are no fastenings for the lid and I suspect in windy conditions the lid will take off. It looks nice enough but I would never buy another one.

  Good but not brilliant

  Good quality with a metal frame although two minuses 1) when it rains the top cover holds the water and when you open the lid the water pours into the box at the back edge. I had to fit a plastic strip to deflect any trapped water in the lid. 2) No way to lock the box although the box has a gas lift arm, if windy the box will open.alternative plastic boxes work just the same if not better for half the price.

  This is a solid box, easy to build, however it is not waterproof. We have had to.line the box with polythene liners and cover with polythene in heavy rain
