Instead of returning I placed knives in pot with one teaspoon each of baking soda and table salt and water to cover. Boiled 5mins and rinsed. Mirror finish achieved! Lovely set.

I really like the weight of these and the knife is fairly sharp which is unusual with dinner sets like these. I had steak last night and I did not miss not using a steak knife there was no need for one.One very small criticism, the teaspoons are quite large for teaspoons, but if you take sugar in your tea or coffee just take one spoon instead of two.Very happy and would recommend this product.

A basic 8 place setting, 32 pieces for 25 quid?Unlike most flat ware, it's a good weight, with no flexing, looks far more expensive than it is. Tea spoons might be a little smaller than some and a bit larger than others, dessert spoons have a deep bowl and forks are a good shape. Knives have a good size handle and are nice and sharp, how anyone can say they're too sharp I find a bit baffling, as it's primary function is to cut stuff. Yes, I did manage to slice a finger whilst coaxing one out of it's cozy little bag.Will be buying another set so there's enough to go round should we ever be allowed to have a barbie again.

Good weight and comfortable to hold. If you put pressure on them they don't bend at all. I would suggest that anyone thinking of buying these should ignore the "in depth" 1* review "Poor quality" as very rubbish.

WARNING - careful when removing from the packaging - I cut my finger on one of the knives. Otherwise, just the product I was looking for at this price point.

The pieces are a good weight and feel sturdy in your hands. The knife actually cuts. They have a tendency to retain watermarks, but hey it just means we cannot be lazy and actually need to wash and wipe up properly. A new lesson for the teens in the house!

Only disappointed was I understood the product information to indicate we would receive dessert and soup type spoons. We did get the dessert but the other spoons were very small tea spoons!! Be careful !!
