It is a better quality and also comes with a handy bag to store it in when not in use. So pleased with it that I have just purchased a second sail in a different colour.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 June 2019Not the size stated. A big con.This product contravenes the trades description act because it is no the size stated. The corners curve out so they are the widest and longest dimension so the actual shade size is much smaller. The longest point is 2.8 mtrs with the centre only 2.4 mtrs. Width at widest point is 1.9 mtrs with centre just 1.45 mtrs. Amazon please check this product before I go to trading standards. Disgusting.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 June 2021Beware the sizingI've only had this a few days and only installed it over my greenhouse yesterday. It appears to be fairly strong, well-stitched and of decent quality. I don't know if it's rain-proof, but that doesn't matter to me anyway. What does matter is the sizing. I would have like a larger one but the greenhouse location would have made fixing it impossible so I opted for the 2 metre x 3 metre one in cream. Unfortunately, while the overall size might be 2m x 3m, that measurement is not the size of the sail itself but is taken from D-ring to D-ring. The narrow sections to which the D-rings are attached are approximately 20 cms, which reduces the size of the fabric available for shading by quite a lot. It's a bit too small to properly do the job for which I purchased it but, as I'm desperate to shade my greenhouse, I have kept it but have deducted 1 star for the rather misleading sizing.

It, therefore, does not look as good as it should and because of the seam water collects and drips constantly. It does, however, keep the sun off nicely and has corner rings, which not all do.

My fault for not checking, but the photo looks like a right angle.I sold it on to a friend and reordered the correct one that I'm very happy with.

Stitching across the join has puckered the material but not terribly. Very good fixings. Nice dark sand colour. And larger weave than others weve seen so if your trying to match something you bought in a UK shop it will be slightly different.

Not able to test water proof aspect as it's been lovely weather however I don't intend on leaving it in place of wet or windy weather is forecast just to test it out. I'd rather save my time and money by taking it down and storing. Rope provided was a plentiful amount for our circumstances and already precut to lengths of around 24inches long each piece of rope.

Nothing wrong with the product in the right place but it just didn't work for us unfortunately so was sent back. Quality was fine, material was fine, delivery was fine, it just did not work

- How waterproof is this?It’s not a tarpaulin. It is same material as a good quality parasol- keeps some water off but water would eventually come through in a sustained heavy continuous downpour.
- Is this waterproof?Its not waterproof its water resistant, but with a serious downpour it becomes porous. Intending on buying a waterproofing spray for mine. All things considered im Quite happy with it tbh
- Is it washableTo be honest ours has been up since last summer and the rain has kept it clean!! So I would say yes but on a low temp.
- What is the spacing for the supports ?The sail has to be tight and the fixings screwed at angles to each corner. Nylon string is included but can be adjusted to the right tightness. So about an extra foot for each corner square. It's not water proof and barely water resistant. I bought the liquid to make it waterproof.
