- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 December 2020Best travel mug I've ever usedBefore I had this, I had a contigo West mug, and I ended up returning it because the spring in the cap broke and it wouldn't seal. The spring on the west mug broke because of poor design, when I tried to clean the inside, the position of tuft spring meant that pressure was put on it every time I cleaned it, and eventually that pressure snapped the spring. I'm very happy to say that this transit mug has a different design, a much smaller spring in a much more sensible place. So I can clean this mug with no worries.I've had this mug for about a year now and it's still going strong! Use it almost every day. The website rates this as keeping liquids warm for up to 5 hours, which in my experience is pretty much spot on. I make my tea at 06:30 in the morning and I can happyily drink it at 11:30I've never had a single leak from this and I've kept it in bags, thrown it around and nothing. No leaks at all!Overall I'm very happy with this and would recommend it. If I lost it, I would immediately buy another one

Almost too good insulation, I use for black coffee whether instant (boiling water) or from the machine (lower temp) it is advisable to leave the cap of for 10-15 mins once drink is made before travelling.Risk of scalding and dripping from the lid. The closing feature of the cap means that cleaning is not perfect.Cup is a little large in height and girth and does not fit many car cup holders.I would prefer if it had a handle.

Get this one

My brother has one and was raving about it and if he says it's good then that works for me :), he's particular and choosy.It keeps hot for the best part of the day and keeps liquid cold for hours and hours. It been fantastic through the heatwave in the south east these passed days. I would definitely recommend it, wish I'd found it years ago.

No leaking at all as it's has a double lock system- to drink you have to press button , but when you know you don't need in next couple of sec then you just have to turn a 2nd lock which will cover a hole and block button. You can easily shake it, drop it, turn upside down etc.... no leaking. It's keep temp for reasonable time.Only bad point for me it's bit to big in diameter for my drink holder in car - sorted by buying extension for it on amazon as well.I'm definitely satisfied.

It does the job adequately and is much easier to use as opposed to pouring hot drinks from a flask into a cup, and can therefore be used whilst still on the move.It keeps drinks hot for a good 3/4 hours, depending on outside temperatures. Recently it was used when the outside temperature was hovering just below freezing and my tea was still reasonably hot after two and a half hours of being outside.However the travel mug will not fit a vehicles cup holder but does fit nicely into my drivers door side pocket.

I’be forgotten about it until gone 11 before and there was still (good) life in it. That’s milky coffee mind, probably last longer black or if pre warmedThe top is also great, never leaks, but if a pain to wash by just take 30 seconds more than some of the more basic ones.

This seals perfectly, holds a decent amount and fits the bill, sadly hot coffee is lukewarm with 3-5 hours whereas with my old retired contigo i'd occasionally forget my work brew and come home 10 hours later with it still warmer than the new one.

- What’s the difference between this and Contigo Auto Seal west loop?There's a big difference in the locking mechanism. The west loop mug uses a much larger and differently positioned spring. After less than a month, my West loop spring snapped and the mug would not close. I've had the transit mug for almost 4 years and had no issues with it at all. Much sturdier spring design

- What's the diameter at the widest part? And what happens when washed in dishwasher?When washed in dishwasher it becomes clean!
