  Superb quality and appearance - ideal for placing over a kitchen island

  These look superb over our kitchen/lounge Island. I also purchased some bulbs the same as the ones pictures as they match the character of the shades perfectly. we've knocked the shades a couple of times as well and they haven't broken so they seem well made. Be aware that the chord won't be straight after fitting for a couple of months but over time they will straighten out.

  Fantastic lights

  I bought three of these lights and they have just arrived today (the day after ordering) I'm so please with them I thought I would write a review straight away.There are certain things that I would rather walk into a shop and buy, I’ve bought a number of lights in the past from BHS, but as they are no longer around I went online to find these, from the images they looked just what I wanted. Now they have turned up they are better than my expectations, the packaging is first rate for protecting them in transit and out of the box they are easy to assemble and of excellent quality.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these light to anyone and the price is very reasonable.Once i have them in place i will post a picture. Picture of my final project now added, very, very happy :)

  Solid construction, looks good and I like it.

  Well packaged, the clear glass lamp shade is protected by the purpose made polystyrene.There is some self-assembly required.Cable is as stated and can be be shortened to suit your requirements.Ceiling rose is much larger than a typical UK plastic ceiling rose. This is advantageous as it can help to contain and hide the existing wiring. Earth wire is needed as the construction is metal work.I’m not sure why they say it is suitable for the 4,6 and 8watt when it clearly states it’s good for a 60watt lamp.Current is 10xlower on lower wattage lamps!Go figure....I’ll be fitting it fairly soon.Photo and update to follow:As stated correctly in a previous review by another purchaser, the metal ceiling rose must be earthed. Achievable in a variety of ways but not as expected.

  Stylish and modern fixtures

  I wanted to replace downlights in our conservatory with something more modern and style. Found these but initially ordered just one to see if it would do the job and whether it is easy to install. I am an okay DIYer. I was able to shorten the length of the cable without much issue. I can say that installation is not that complicated, just take the required precaution as one should when doing any work involving electricity. Once the first one was installed, I order rest of the two (please refer pics) and now the whole setup looks so good.I would highly recommend these.

  Waited to review these lights until an electrician had installed them. They arrived promptly and well packaged. Bought three to go over our dining table in a new extension, look fabulous! Electrician didn't realise at first that the switch on the holder was an off/on switch, after 20 minutes realised this! Value for money? Definitely! Love the retro look. Bought the bulbs to go with the lights at the same time which I would recommend you do. Bought a pack of three which I thought were very reasonably priced. I would without hesitation recommend both the lights I bought and Retro Boutique.

  Jury's out

  bought 8 Pathson lights, all similar in design, all arrived quickly and were well packaged, they also look great in place, however the glass shade on one 2 (not this style)), suddenly dropped to the floor (had cracked on the collar) shattering. all were fitted by a professional.Pathson were great in getting replacements out, just a little concerned for the future of these lights, as the shades cannot be purchased in the High Street.

  Plastic screw?!

  I like the look of the light pendant and it was easy to fit until I adjusted the length of the cable. To lock the selected length of cable in place in the ceiling facia is a PLASTIC screw, which true to form snapped when trying to re-tighten (see photo). Why use a plastic screw when at the bulb end of the cable is a metal grub screw!Not happy.

  Beautiful

  We ordered three of these to hang above our new breakfast bar that separates our kitchen and living room and they are absolutely perfect! We got Edison-style bulbs in them, recommended here on the Amazon page and they are even better than I was hoping they would be. I am so pleased with these, and highly recommend them.

  Better than expected

  These were actually better than I expected.I got an electrician to fit as there is literally just a cable and not the usual black/box that you get in light fittings. However he was able to trim the wire to the required level and it looks really nice so all good

  They look beautiful

  The lights arrived well before the expected delivery date. They look amazing and and are extremely good value for the price! They are a really lovely feature in our kitchen and everyone who has seen them have commented how gorgeous they are. Very happy!
