Customer Review
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 December 2017Ok but expected better quality for this priceFirst impressions was very good quality.Positives:1) The shape of the handle is ergonomic and easy to hold with a strong feel.2) The red spot in the middle changes colour when the pan is hot enough which is very helpful.3) Non stick coating works really well.4) Does not take long to heat up. compared to thicker pans.Negatives:1) There is non stick coating all around this pan including the bottom, so when you want to move the pan on the hob (to move food around the pan) the bottom coating scrapes off very easily. It would have been better to keep the bottom as stainless steel with no coating or another material.2) The pan is very thin. For the price and the brand I was expecting a more robust feel, weight and thickness however it seems a little too thin for a premium/high-rated brand.3) The chrome metal part of the handle which attaches the black handle to the pan - water gets trapped inside of this after washing. You have to drain the pan with the handle facing down to avoid trapped water. I think over time trapped water will eventually rust the connecting part of the handle, the screw. Another problem with this is water drains onto the hob if you forget to drain it out properly and go straight into cooking.4) The milk pan is useless when pouring milk/liquid. There is no pouring point around the rim, which causes the issue of liquid flowing along the outside of the pan and falling off at the base (which means liquid/milk all over your table). Very bad design.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 April 2018Good, but longevity can be put into question. The pans are pretty great. Light and suitable for everyday use. The frying pans have lasted well, though I've only been using one (all I really need) and only 2/3 of the pots. However, of the two I am using, both have begun to rattle, i.e. the screw that connects the handle to the pot on the inside of the cavity between them has become loose for both: one broke loose about four months ago and since I haven't been able to use the pan: the other seems pretty far in and is most likely about to break off. Either ways, good for about six-seven months of moderate use for the pans, frying pan is frying fine, though.Update: Well, it's the 1st of May 2k18, so, roughly eight months have passed since I bought the set. Half the pans have broken, so, the ones I actually used. Either ways, I'm giving the product two stars overall. When they were actually usable, definitely a 5/5, but durability wise, ehhhh :_:
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 June 2021Smaller than you might expect, but...I bought these while they were on sale and despite an initial pang of regret when I opened the box and and saw how small the items were, I'm actually quite happy with them given the overall quality and the price I paid. These are the type on pans that are ideal if you're cooking for yourself or two people are most, IMO. They're not tiny, they're just smaller than regular sized pans but this was a blessing in disguise for me as I do cook mainly for myself and it saves space.. also, easier to clean.Only reason I didn't give 5* is because I feel that there should be a more explicit effort by the sellers to display the different scale of the items if they're smaller/larger than usual as I did briefly consider returning these due to my different expectation. However, like I said I am happy with them and will be keeping them anyhow :)
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 November 2017Not a happy Tefal customer!Bought this set in Oct 2017 as a present it was great at first then in Oct 2018 I noticed the coating at the bottom of the pans bubbling, I have never used cutlery to stir contents nor have I used abrasive to scrub the pans whilst washing, then I’ve noticed the edges of the pan marking like scratches. These pans are very fragile and for the money I paid and the brand you would expect them to last more than 1 year! So not buying Tefal again I’m afraid.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 January 2021Quality is a disgraceSome of the layer in the bottom already chipping off, just used once. Not exactly the Tefal quality I am used to. Had Tefal for ages and never had such problem. And the handles seems to be made too heavy compared to the main body, thus it tend to tip on the side on the stove. If this is the direction they are going in, I won't buy Tefal again!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 August 2020five star pansI felt compelled to write this review after seeing other peoples comments on the pans.We have used them for over a year now and they are still in pristine condition.Take care of them and im sure they will still be good in five years timeIm sure many people who have complained have not taken care of them
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 May 2020Nice designThese look good in my cupboard but I’m sad to say they’re already showing some wear and tear. I don’t move my pans around like crazy so the peeling can be avoided but they do have stains on the base already. The heat distribution isn’t great when deep frying.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 October 2020Look nice, handles come looseThe pans look good, they are easy to clean, but the handles have started to come loose, you are unable to tighten them up due to the head shape on screw not being a cross or flat headed!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 April 2020Fantastic pan setThese cost a bit more money but I'm glad we went for this option as I know these pans will last us a long time. They clean easy and the glowing Ts on the frying pans, make them really easy to use.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 September 2017Cheap in price but not in quality.Just starting out in my first home I was looking for a set of pans that whilst they were cost effective weren't 'cheap' in quality. Tefal seemed to be the answer and upon arrival it was clear I'd made the right choice. Solid feeling pans with a nice range of sizes to suit most kitchen needs, would certainly recommend them ??
Customer questions and answers
- How many liters can the bigger saucepan hold ?I found it strugles with 2
- Is this 5 piece set suitable for use with ceramic hobs?Hi Miss S. I would think NOT as nothing is mentioned with regards using them on a Ceramic Hob. I personally would Not use them.
- Is this induction suitable?Yes, I've had no problems at all. Hope this helps
- hye, whats the dimension of the box? thanksIt's a huge box. You could fit a grown adult in it. They use extra padding since the pans themselves are so fragile and flimsy that the slightest knock dents them out of shape.
