- Can the 3-5 metre sensing distance be altered, as not to be activated by people walking past gate?We had the same problem. Didnt want it flashing on and off all the time but unfortunately you cant alter it. What we did was I held the last light and my husband walked up and down past the gate until we achieved the correct gap for it not t activate. Better than tv for the neighbours!!
