It is very easy to put together, only the legs need fitting, and is very comfortable. I have marked it down, one star, because all the fixings were loose in the box/chair/packaging and it took over 1/2 hour to find them all (final screw had rolled under my settee). All in all I am very satisfied.

Once assembled it is 18 inch to top of seat cushion. I needed to get hold of a chair quickly as it was required for someone who was coming out of hospital post hip replacement and we needed a chair that was 19.5 inch as the hospital would not supply one. I spoke with Amazon customer service who could not understand why I was complaining as product is not as advertised but I did not want the hassle of sending it back. We have had to use cushions to boost it. It should do but be wary if purchasing this chair for orthopaedic reasons. The plus points are it is delivered quickly and considerably cheaper than chairs from specialist shops.
