  Instructions are really poor but as I have 8 years experience in the furniture business it wasn't to bad for me, only 3 bolts go in the footstool mounting plate as holes don't line up and one leg is wonkey, Footstool I think is a little low for the chair, chair doesn't recline much so if your looking for a chair to Knapp in look elsewhere, swivel is really stiff, recline function also but wd40 sorted the recline ( for what it's worth ) , some idiot tagged the fire label through the leather rather than through a stitching hole so now there's a hole in the leather, comfort isn't what I expected after all the great reviews, it's very much a sit on chair rather than sit in chair, there's a reason chairs like this in furniture shops are more than double the price, it's because they're more than double the comfort and more than double the quality, now it's assembled aswell returning it doesn't seem to be an option,Waste of money in my opinion,

  Brilliant value and a doddle to put together (but the instructions need changing)

  We bought this after being let down by a shopping channel - we ordered the chair on a Tuesday and it was delivered on Thursday by DPDIt took me a leisurely hour and a half to put the chair together - all the tools you'll need are included, but the instructions (there's a picture of them in this review) need changing as from step 5 to step 6, both the seat base and back are pictured in the instructions.What I did was to attach just the back to the assembly so far. Then recline the back and put the seat base on. Screw the screws and bolts which secure the base and back loosely through the relevant holes, then move the seat back into a more normal position, at which point you can tighten the screws and bolts properly. You'll find that you have a spare 'long' screw and bolt left over at the end - this is to attach the front of the seat to the swivelling base (the bit you put a hand screw in at step 5.Sorry for the overly long waffle, but honestly, this is a great chair and is much sturdier than I'd have imagined for the price.

  Nightmare to assemble. Main screws don't drive home when attaching backrest to the main frame and this is the strength position for weight-bearing. Diagram instructions almost useless as I can't find out if the screws are meant to drive home even after contacting the manufacturer, they avoided answering my question. Fabric rip at the arm seam and loose threads, wood scratched in various places, the filling is sparse and strawlike so hard and the fabric loosely covers it. I can only imagine what it will look like in 3 months. No lower back support at all making it the worst chair ever to sit in for posture at any position. I complained an hour after receiving this chair and they are still looking for photos of the damage that the amazon contact form won't allow me to attach. Its my worst nightmare to now have to take it apart again for return, that's if they actually honour the 12 month warrantee at all.My advice, avoid this chair it's rubbish. If it was viewable in a store I wouldn't even stop to look at it.Update: Amazon took up my complaint and refunded me as the sellers were vague and unhelpful. Thank you Amazon!

  Sort of leather chair

  Well what a load of rubbish this chair is. The bolts don’t line up with the holes, you can’t tighten properly with the tools provided.Although CHEAP to buy you can see why, when it’s so difficult to put together and need an A level to figure out instructions, which to be honest your better of fitting it together using your own initiative. Would never buy another crap chair.......If I could be bothered I’d have sent back

  Would have given it 5 stars but there is a problem with some of the parts.mainly that threaded plates for the assembly of the foot stool and the the legs for the chair were not threaded properly so the screws did not fit.It meant having to run an M8 tap through the holes to cut the threads properly. Could be a problem if you were not a mechanical engineer and did not have the tools to do it.Otherwise the chair is very comfortable easy to assemble and very well made apart from the one problem.It is excellent value for money. Have seen the same chair in high street shops for £380.00 so worth the slight niggle.

  Good value for money

  The chair is very comfortable and was relatively easy to put together. The only issue I have is the screws that hold the legs on are 6mm too short. There is barely enough thread to make a good contact, but it was easily rectified as I had some screw of my own that were more suitable for the task. However, don't let this put you off as I have already said this was a minor issue.I was absolutely surprised when this chair was delivered by DPD less than 24 hour after I placed my order, a full day before it was due to be delivered. An excellent job done by this seller especially in this time of crisis and lockdown.

  Looks good and is comfortable

  Looks good and is comfortable. But, and it's a big but, it is very, very, hard to assemble - it took me over 4 hours and had me swearing. The instructions from Step 5 onwards are useless - the brackets that hold the seats to the base assembly can be fitted 8 ways and the line drawing doesn't help. From Step 6 onwards you cannot assemble the chair the way they say. The standard of bracket engineering is poor two and much hammering and straightening is needed. On reflection paying another £100 for better design integrity would have been worth it.And the last M6 nyloc nut to secure the front of the seat to the recline mechanism was missing.

  a fantastic leather recliner

  the chair was delivered today, well packed with all the nuts bolts and tools you need to assemble ,the assembly single handed took aprox 40 minsonce assembled the chair looks fantastic, excellent value ,excellent quality, excellent service. on the amazon website it says this chair no longer available so it looks like I got the last one a mason

  Purchased chair in Jan 16 and really pleased at first very comfortable and looked good First the padding started to deteriorate and hard metal bar felt when sitting added old pillow for comfort . Yesterday leg snapped and unable to repair. Contacted seller told out of warranty so item for the dump after just 15 months. Very disappointed not a good buy after all

  OMG the instructions are very badly printed and difficult to read.Luckily I'm an engineer snd figured it out in the end.Comfy chair not sure about the fake leather quality as it had a few small nicks in to begin with.Time will tell.
