On the base you have a couple of wires coming out just make sure that you can have access to them, if you look at the back of the base you will see a metal lug on the left and right side. Remove the back from the box and underneath you will see some wires hanging down don't connect them just yet, you will see 2 metal lugs coming out line those up with base unit and give a good push down until you hear them click in if they do not click then the back is not secure, once you have done this lift up the leather flap and connect 2 of the wires to the chair and 1 to the remote and 1 to the power, I have 2 off these chairs because I have. Arthritis of the spine and believe me it's a chair I wish I had bought several years ago, they are so comfortable plug it in and have an all over warm body massage it's great, you will certainly be glad you bought it. see less
