- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 October 2019Nice looking shelfThis is a lovely shelf. I use it for tea/coffee and hang mugs from the hooks. Struggled to screw to the wall but got it done in the end. Friends have asked where I bought it and I have sent link from page on Amazon.

Check the measurements carefully before purchase, it is smaller than I imagined so it looks lost on the wall. I will have to put something else with it. Description says solid wood wrong choice of words, yes it is wood but the wood is very fragile feeling and extremely light. I would not use it in the way some of the images are portrayed e.g the image with pans etc. I am using mine with spice jars, timer and a tea towel with oven mits.It was very easy to assemble just screwing the shelf to its brackets. Tip when assembling put the rail into its place and then mark the screw hole on the shelf. I think it is a little expensive for what it is, I purchased mine from Amazon warehouse deals and I save £5.00 on the cost. I think most people who buy this shelf will be happy with their purchase and delivery was next day with prime.

We received the item my husband put it up but when attaching to the wall realised 1 of the black metal brackets was broken and snapped. It isn't a big deal to us because we are not using it for any heavy items but wanted to inform you of this. Sorry for negative feedback.

The metal hanging brackets are more than sturdy enough for the intended use, I wouldn't question there ability to support weight. Initially I was a little concerned about the wood used for the shelf itself. It appeared very "light" and I was worried it may split easily when screwing the brackets to it. However, when I screwed the brackets to the wood, it was obvious the wood itself is actually quite decent and can take a screw without splitting. The supplied screws dug well into the wood and once the brackets are screwed on the whole unit is solid.Happy customer and would recommend this product.

That is probably the best thing about them, plus the fact that you could replace the wood to more robust wood. If you know what Balsa wood is then this is possible 1 strength up from that. I have varnished mine as I am not convinced that these will manage the steam and moisture in a kitchen. If I am honest the chances are I will buy different wood for the brackets, which are quite nice and feel quite sturdy. They arrived early which was good. Just not sure that they are the best quality - although do Look reasonably attractive.
