- Can you hang the cutlery holder on the long side of the rack, the side without the metal plate, will it be unstable if hooked there?It’s stable but the reason why the cutlery holder is on the short side is because the water from the drain slots goes onto the base plate.....if it would be on the longer side the drain slots would be half out and half onto the base plate.
