- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 April 2021Style over substance.Loved the look of these knives, and have some other Joseph Joseph products which I really like.However, they have not last well. The grey coating on the blades started to chip off almost straight away, despite only hand washing. Once chipper, it just started to flake, leaving grey bits of paint in cheese or butter.They look terrible now, and so having to replace them despite being less than a year old. They’ve also not stayed very sharp. V disappointed, would not recommend.

The quality is great and perfect for uni students to have a decent set of knives. Very reasonable and one very happy studentPackaging - this particular set came in a very simple box with plastic holding everything in place. What you don't see is that there is a guard for each knife - ideal for house sharing and keeping in drawers safely
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 May 2021Super sharp, nice design touches.It’s a shame they can’t be dishwasher, given how brilliantly sharp they are they require very careful hand washing. We had a set of these that we dishwashed and the coating came off in about 3 years but they remain very sharp so we bought the same again. Love that rest that stops the blade touching your surfaces. The veggie knife is created at an angle making it harder for me to use left handed and get a straight cut. Love the santoku knives!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 April 2021Ease of cutting anythingThese knives are great! Cutting anything is so easy. It’s a dream to carve a joint of meat with these knives. You can cut the meat so thin it’s almost see/through! Cutting up fruit is just as easy too. The elevate bit on the knives keeps mess to a minimum. I would definitely recommend
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 July 2021Sharp but good safety featureI bought these as a gift because I already own the same set. They are really sharp and the plastic cover for the blade is really useful. The colours make for quick identification when rooting in the drawer for one.

They're easy and comfortable to hold.WARNING: They are the sharpest knives known to man and don't take prisoners!I can't imagine ever needing to sharpen them but having Sharpeners in the blade-cover is a great idea.Definitely recommend.

They are really sharp out of the box but you will need to buy a sharpener and sharpen them every two or three uses to keep them razor sharp.Typically good Joseph Joseph quality would recommend for their price point.

- Can one use a whetstone for sharpening these? Or is it only recommended to use a joseph joseph sharpner?You don't need to - the protective sheaths contain a built-in sharpener.
- Are the knives suitable for right & left handed peopleYes
- are these ok to wash in the dishwasher?It tells you to hand wash them so I have never put them in the dishwasher.
- Do these knives fit in the joseph joseph lock block please that sits on the worktop?Yes they should fit as it houses the same knives. Thanks.
