- Can this be used with a smart plug? I.e can it heat when powered on from mains? No. I have tried exhaustively to solve this either from smart mains or separate timer. As soon as the heater turns off in any way it has to be manually reminded to start using the programmed times again! There are default pre-programmed times but none suit the times I need to heat. The assumption from the manufacturer is that you leave the heater plugged-in and turned on at all times and just rely of the program or custom program times you've entered. The thermostat then turns to heater on and off to keep the temperature you have set. The instructions are pants too. I had to make a step-by-step simple cheat sheet of my own after emailing the Seller to make sense of things. I have a PDF of my instructions if you want it? see less
- Is it safe to tuck curtains behind the radiator when wall mounted?its a brilliant heater but it gets very hot - I suppose if you had the thermostat on a lower temp it would be but we use it to warm a hall so leave it on high - if you have it on high then no I would not let anything touch it!
- How much electricity does it spend per hour?hi, the the 400w model spend 0.4 unit per hour, the 600w spend 0.6 unit per hour, the 1000w model spend 1 unit per hour.
- Can I get the wall brackets?Mine came packed with it. Otherwise I am sure alternatives would be available.
