- Is it noisy? we have had one electric fire which was so noisy we couldn't use it!As sensitivity to noise is very subjective it is difficult to answer this question. There is no sound when the flame effect is working without heat. When it is giving out heat there is a a sound very like that which we have previously experienced with a gas fire. It does not bother us but I cannot be sure how you would react.
