SPACIOUS & STYLISH GARDEN PARASOL: Shade yourself in style when you're relaxing in your garden with this Aluminium 2.7m Tilting Parasol from Christow. Designed with a spacious 2.7-metre canopy and a tilting mechanism to shade you from the low-lying sun, it’s a stylish choice for an outdoor bistro set or dining table.
PROVIDES SUPERIOR UV PROTECTION: The canopy is made from extra-tough 180g polyester in a choice of contemporary colours to add style to any setting. It has a UPF 30+ rating to provide superior protection from damaging UV rays and an air vent to reduce wind pressure and keep you cool when you're relaxing beneath it.
CRANK HANDLE & TILTING MECHANISM: Instead of a fiddly pulley system, the parasol has a crank handle to easily raise and lower the canopy. Simply turn the handle one way to open it or the other way to close it. It also features a lever which allows you to tilt the canopy at an angle and shield yourself from the low-lying sun.
LIGHTWEIGHT 38mm DIAMETER ALUMINIUM POLE: The parasol is made from hardwearing aluminium which is far lighter than steel to easily move around your garden. The pole has a diameter of 38mm and comes in two parts which lock together. Instructions are included to easily assemble and care for the parasol.
IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION: A parasol base is NOT INCLUDED with the parasol and is essential for safeguarding it from the wind. Christow stock a range of compatible bases. Choose an 11kg base if you wish to use the parasol with a garden table, or a 25kg base if you wish to use the parasol without a table.

Customer Review
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 July 2018Concern for uv protectionThe size of the shade is exactly what I wanted the tilt is very handy too . My only concern is the 50+ uv protection! As this was bought to replace my same size parasol because of lack of uv. My disabled husband still got sunburnt including using a factor 50 sun cream. Looking underneath doesn't look any different than the one I have
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 May 2019Poor fabricThought I couldn’t go wrong when ordering this it’s a garden parasol that tilts, perfect size what’s not to like but as soon as it arrived I realised it was a mistake. The fabric is thin, shiny and def not what I’d expected was expecting heavy duty canvass suitable for the outdoors which this definitely is not. Returns are by courier at customers own expense. I’ve donated mine to charity.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2021So far, a sunny outcome. My last patio umbrella was a disaster. Rubbish stitching, weak spars, it soon broke. So, I bought this one with a sigh, but hoping it would be better. And so far, I have not been disappointed. The fabric seems to be totally waterproof, which is handy if you are leaving up in the rain. It has a parachute flap at the top which lets air out if there's a gust of wind, making it less likely to topple over or worse, take off. I should add that it is anchored to a very sturdy base that I bought seperately - don't stint on a good heavy base or you'll regret it - and that I do not leave it up when the weather turns too windy. That is asking for trouble, patio umbrellas are *not* storm proof. In bright sunlight you will not get 100% shade, some of the light does penetrate the fabric, but not enough to be bothersome. It is very easy to erect using the 'winder' handle, and the stitching on the fabric where the spars are held in place looks good. It does not have a 'tie' to hold the umbrella fabric in place when it is down, however, I have an old cover from my last umbrella which I slide on to protect it in foul weather. (worth getting one for the winter unless you put the umbrella in the shed) I'd say so far, so good, but as with all garden products the trick is to see how many seasons it lasts!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 May 2020Looks good, but flimsy. See photosA picture is worth a thousand words. The old adage that you get what you pay for holds true, so just be aware. On first observation the parasol is fine and looks good. The pole and mechanism seems to be sturdy. However the fabric of the parasol is thin and cheaply finished (see photos). For £59.99 I guess I need to manage my expectations here. I’ve decided to cover it with the (excellent) parasol protector I bought some time ago https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004NC6F1E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and hope this will at least prolong the life.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 September 2021Beware! Also please see update.I first purchased one of these (27/04/20) and was extremely impressed with the quality. I am 60 years old and have purchased many different ones over the years....this was the best!!!The parasol material was a cream colour and very strong canvas material. The crank handle was also been extremely sturdy. It has been in my garden (exposed and with no cover) for nearly 18 months and showed no sign of wear or discoloration.Last Sunday I had inadvertently left the parasol open and was upset to find a gust of wind had got under it, blown it over taking my glass table with it and completely snapping the main pole. No one at fault but myself. So I got straight online and pressed "Buy Again"I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED when it arrive today.NOTING LIKE THE ORIGINAL ONE. It is a lot lighter (in weight), the material of the parasol is much like plastic, it is very yellow in colour and the the crank is quite flimsy.UNFORTUNATELY I cannot return it because I have to use it today, but doubt that I will buy another one when needed??UPDATE:- I received a call from this company within days of posting my review. They offered to collect BOTH parasols and replace them or refund me in full (even though the breakage of the first one was entirely my fault). The staff could not have been more helpful (Thank you Lucy). As I explained I had to use the second one, but they have assured me that if I am not happy with it I only have to get in touch with them. You can email this company or if you are like me and wish to speak in person, their response time on the phone is immediate.CUSTOMER SERVICE...OUTSTANDING!And because of this I retract my original statement and will DEFINITELY USE THIS COMPANY again for further purchases?.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 July 2018Lovely parasolVery happy with this parasol, arrived earlier than expected which was a welcome surprise with the hot weather we are having. Lovely colour blue which complements our grey rattan furniture. Nice and easy to use with the crank handle and the tilt feature was great to give us more shade. We brought a nice granite base which looks great. Would recommend this parasol.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 July 2019Well madeVery easy to erect and use tho I am in my 80s. Much lighter than a wooden one. Easy tilt mechanism but you need to be tall to operate it. Easy wind up and down lever easily reached by shorties. A 20 kilo base needed if used without a table support.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 July 2021Needs a good baseWe purchased thee parasol with the manufactures 25kg base, pleased we did not too large and can partly slide under the side of our garden furniture . Parasol gives a good amount of shade tilts about 25' off vertical. But when tilted even with just a very small summer breeze the parasol will rotate in the base and catch the wind no matter how tightly you turn the securing screw! Not so much an issue when up straight, but still turns slightly!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 July 2021Brilliant parasolBrilliant parasol with a large umbrella providing a good amount of shade. Love that it has a handle to wind up and down, which is much easier than the one we were replacing, and it can be done one handed whilst holding my baby. Also love the tilt feature, which is brilliant in our south facing garden when I’m trying to provide shade for my children playing in our sandpit, and great when we’re sat around the table as without a tilt function someone usually still had the sun in their eyes.Easy to put together, and take apart to store in our garage when the weather is bad. Pole is very light, but is a snug fit in our outside table, so no fear it might take off if there’s a breeze.Overall we are very, very happy!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 June 2019Great buyThere was nothing too dislike about this parasol. If ticked all the boxes I required. It is sturdy and easy too use. Good value for the money we paid. The only thing wrong it didn’t have anything attached to tie the parasol up when not in use so my wife attached a corresponding ribbon and it now can be tied up neatly.
