Sheepskin rugs are very stylish and interior designers are increasingly using them to bring texture to the room and give the place warm and cosy feeling. They fit great in front of the fireplace, in the centre of the room on top of carpeted, wooden or stone floor or even as a wall hanging. Another excellent place to put a sheepskin rug is your bedroom where you will always love its warmth between your toes! It also works perfectly as a sofa or chair throw or as a seat cover in your car. Due to the manufacturing process,all sheepskin rugs have specific odour shortly after production is complete which disappears within about 2 weeks. Odour is not strong but some customers may find it disturbing. Sheepskin rugs can be aired to speed it up. This is absolutely normal and is not considered as a defect. Sheepskin rugs can be hand cleaned on the top side only with a damp cloth and a small amount of wool washing liquid diluted in lukewarm water. They can also be dry cleaned, but cannot be directly wet, washed or machine washed. Sheepskin rugs must be air dried stretched on the drying rack away from any heat sources like radiators or heaters. Please note that sheepskin rugs are measured from the top to the end diagonally across the rug between furthest points and on the top side. This is standard in this industry.
