Made using a dense 100% heatset polypropylene pile which is very strong and hard wearing, anti-static, moth proof, colour fast and very easy to clean.

However, we have it on a pale green carpet in a room with pastel shades of duck egg blue, pale green, beige and cream where it works by giving the room a stronger focal point. We have been struggling with our existing rugs which we bought recently, with two young kids at home.This rug doesn't shed, presumably because it's made with '100% heatset polypropylene using renewable energy" according to the label. We love it as the colours go with anything in the room, but more importantly, it doesn't show any marks or muck! It also seems to be wearing well. Be aware that if being used as a hearth rug, any man made fibres will melt if hot embers fall onto it and potentially be a fire risk. Wool is traditionally the best option in that case as it only ever smoulders. Would we recommend the rug? A resounding yes! see less
