    Oak Table
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 September 2018
This is a lovely table, suitable for hall, lounge or anywhere else you would like it. It is a light oak colour beautifully finished and, in my opinion, looks more expensive than it was. I have it in my lounge, where it matches my other light oak furniture well. I have it next to my sofa with my phone on it and there is plenty of room for coffee cups which I place on coasters as the finish of the table is lovely and I don't want to mark it. The shelf underneath contains my magazines.I live in a bungalow now, but if I still lived in my house which had a large hallway, I would have put it in the corner of my hall with a lamp on it.I have only given this table 4 stars because putting it together was a bit of a problem. My husband who has been putting furniture together for years, and is also an engineer, found the holes in the legs had been drilled too deeply for the pins to locate. Therefore, the table top is only glued on. I will not be moving this around a lot, so I am not unduly bothered, but it is a design fault.

Flat-Pack of cheap veneer over chipboard. - Rubbish
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 May 2021
Photo is very misleading, you think you're getting a nice light Oak shade table made of Oak, there is NO OAK IN IT AT ALL... it comes as a flatpack. You have to make it yourself, and unless you have a very good electric screwdriver, you're going to find it difficult.Look at my photo, the real finished item is nothing like the photo on the box of the flatpack.Delivery was a nightmare, the sellers are not really interested in helping you and have no courtesy or communication skills. I had to arrange redelivery myself, apparently they left a calling card because i was out, this is not true, there was nothing.Anyway, this is a B&M table which probably costs half as much if you get it from B&M - but beware, its NOT Oak, its not even Oak coloured, its brown. There would be nothing wrong with this table if the advert has honest about what it is and what you are getting, the advert is so misleading that you are disappointed when it arrives. I bought it to match with other oak furniture om the same room, but it looks nothing like the other items because the photo is wrong.

    Stable and rigid.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 October 2016
The table is just the right size and is very stable, thanks to the two bits at the floor. Its assembly was very much alike to the ikea way of doing things and it would be fine, but I received some old, rusty bolts and nuts to place the lower shelf on. The struggle was immense, but I somehow managed to put the nuts on.Overall, not too bad for £28, but I would not pay anymore. Certainly better than Ikea's stuff.

    Good item for the price
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 July 2019
The tables (I bought 2) were easily assembled and they are sturdy enough for a lamp, coffee mug and some books or magazines. Really that's what it is built for and it is sturdy enough for that purpose. However, the top surface of one of the tables looks like the laminate has been glued on over a surface that hadn't been cleaned. it looks like grit or perhaps sawdust was left under the laminate as it was applied to the MDF and thereby giving the surface a bumpy look to it. I've had to turn the table so that the rough surface faces into the corner and I'll probably get a cover to hide it. If they had been a more expensive item I'd have definitely lodged a complaint. You get what you pay for. They were bought for use in a room that's rarely used so they look good from a distance. Apart from the surface bumps I'm happy with the items at this price.

Looks a bit cheap and plasticky...
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 June 2019
I knew this was MDF covered with veneer but bought it on the basis of the many reviews that said it looked more expensive. Hmmm...it is a £29.99 MDF table covered with plastic veneer and looks like a £29.99 MDF table covered with plastic veneer. Not withstanding that it is a sturdy little table and very easy to assemble (again contrary to reviews). If you are wanting a solid little table to tuck away in a spare room then this is fine but if you want it in a main area where it will be seen...do yourself a favour and spend a bit more money.

One of the best things I have bought in a long time
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 January 2019
This is a really lovely table for the money; I was amazed at the quality. It arrived flat packed and needed assembly which my neighbour did for me and said it was very easy. It takes the weight of a fairly heavy lamp with enough room left for a book or two cups of coffee, there is a smaller under shelf which I’m sure will prove very useful. This is one of the best things I have bought in a long time, highly recommended.

    Surprisingly Well Made
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 May 2020
This table was under £30 when I bought it last year and has exceeded my expectations. I bought it as a stop gap until I could find something better, but it turned out to be surprisingly sturdy and well made. It is self-assembly but was easy to put together. It is made of solid wood with a fake wood veneer that is quite passable in appearance. I believe the price has now increased but I would say if you're looking for a cheap sturdy round table, look no further!

    Not good
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 March 2021
The two tables I purchased for our lounge look cheep and nasty. The finish is nothing like the images on the advertisement. I can not recommend them to anyone, sorry.

Not the table in the picture
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 December 2020
The picture table look much more a solid oak table featured on other websites costing over £100. This one is a more grey tone, heat resistant finish. It only took the 30 mins predicted to assemble and the guide was very clear. I opted to keep it but I will rethink its long term use once the Xmas tree is down.Very solid if you have a lot of traffic and looks water and heat resistantbut not a glossy solid light oak as shown

Customer questions and answers

  • It looks smaller than 50cms x 50cms and is that diameter and height
Hi dear customer it looks smaller in the picture but it is 50cm x 50cm. Thank you
  • I want this as a coffee table is it sturdy enough x
Hi, it's very sturdy but wouldn't say it was big enough for a coffee table, as I can just about fit a lamp and a picture frame on it x
  • Is there actually any oak wood in this table?
This is cheap veneer flatpack - Its not got any Oak in it at all, the very misleading. Plus the delivery is rubbish
  • Is the table FSC certified?
It just says oak finish, but at that price I would doubt if it FSC certified. Sorry cannot be of more help to you.
