Frequently Asked Questions
1Will this light obstruct the camera on an iMac?
Hi - just taken from PC monitor and placed on top of my partners iMac 27in. The lamps bottom edge sits about 1cm above the camera. As I mentioned before I am very pleased with the lamp. I particularly like the way it ‘sits’n top of the monitor.
2Can you adjust the angle of the light or is it a fixed position? Also, how many lumens is the lamp?
It has various positions that the lamp will click into position but I am not certain how useful they all are. One is pointing down to the desk, which is generally the way I use it and I think most people would. Then 45 degrees up towards the user, 90 degrees (Shining in the user's eyes), 135 degrees and then about 170 …

One is pointing down to the desk, which is generally the way I use it and I think most people would. Then 45 degrees up towards the user, 90 degrees (Shining in the user's eyes), 135 degrees and then about 170 degrees not quite 180 degrees but pointing toward the ceiling. So you could angle it to face you if you wanted more light for Zoom, FaceTime etc. Although a diffuser light might be better for that purpose but it is possible. I hope this helps.

3how long is the usb cable?
It's 1.5 metre to the controls and approx 1/2 metre to the light.
4Is this suitable for a monitor with no bezel at the front with a 1.5cm thickness?
Thaw lamp head adjusts from the base about an inch and retracts back to fit your screen thickness, so yea it should fit fine

Customer Review
★★★★★★★★★★ Great space saving light fixture!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 February 2021
I was unsure about this purchase as there were no reviews, however I am very pleasantly surprised. This is a very good option if you are limited for table top space. The light sits comfortably on top of my 27" monitor. It is secure and easy to operate and does not have any hanging cables as it is plugged into the usb ports on the back of the monitor so is kept out of the way.The lighting is excellent especially with the different 'temperatures' of light, you get a lot of good options. The ability to turn the light towards you is also very useful as I use it when I am doing my nails! This is a purchase i was very happy that I took the leap of faith with.
★★★★★★★★★★ ** amended review **
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2021
***Amended, since writing the first review, I have discovered I was not fitting them correctly - the bit that clips to the monitor pulls out to make it fit a wider screen. Now it is all working fine ***I purchased these a little while ago but today is the first chance I have had to install them! I have just spent a ridiculous amount of time picking them off the carpet, which now means that the sticky but is full of carpet dust so am no longer able to return them! Sadly I purchased 2 as I work with 2 monitors, my monitors are quite chunky so the only way to put them on is to stick it by the ridiculously heavy bit that just does not hold, it is not helped that the back of my monitor is not exactly straight, the first one held for quite a while so I thought I was safe to install the second but that was when they started constantly nose diving onto the floor. So I now have 2 lights that will no longer stick and will not clip onto my monitors. I can clip one on my laptop as that is nice and thin but I didn't want it for my laptop! Poor design which is a real shame as I would have loved for them to work.
★★★★★★★★★★ Im sure it's good.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 May 2021
Didn't get to use it as; couple of features I found strange..1. It is very front heavy, thus I couldn't clamp it to my monitor without it trying to immediately fall off. They solved it by making the back sticky!. I'm not a fan of sticking the lamp to the back of my monitor, two reasons. A) if it's permeant it will be a pain to remove , B) if it's not it will fall down due to 1.2. The back of the clamp isn't flat (as the diagram shows) but is a weird convex curve which results in less contact area between back of monitor and clamp. The clamp was at full stretch, so maybe you will have more success than I. I didn't bother sticking it rather return it for a different model. So negatives are the clamp is bulky, the front light is heavy, and it's not "balanced" very well with odd shaped curves where there are contact points. 3* is a fair review, until you buy it you have no real idea if it will fit (the clamp did fit over the monitor but I didn't trust it would hold).
★★★★★★★★★★ Great for desk with limited space
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 November 2021
Now it's started getting dark in the UK while I'm still working I found it difficult sometimes to use the keyboard. This light solves that problem without needing desk space for a lamp. There are three different light settings and it is dimmable so you can set it up just right, I have it quite low.The light clips to the top of the monitor with a counter-weight behind it to keep it in place and seems pretty solid to me, the direction is adjustable but basically points down for me, lighting the keyboard and desk without shining in your eyes.I have a USB hub behind my monitor and it plugs in there so no more sockets needed. Ideal for working from home in a limited space.
★★★★★★★★★★ Don't buy this.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 November 2021
I had high hopes for this, but unfortunately the design is just awful. The light itself is great, 3 colour temps and very bright. But the mounting is terrible. If you clamp it to the monitor it will fall right off, sticking it to the back isn't much better and since the angle of the sticky pad and the angle of the light aren't parallel, there's a good chance it just shines in your eyes and blinds ye instead of pointing down and lighting the desk. Instant return.
★★★★★★★★★★ Cheaper than rest and still you have everything you want
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 December 2021
I thought of writing a review because there is something ppl should know while making a decision of purchasing. I have a 32inch monitor and still I chose this light knowing this is smaller than the width of the screen because large ones are much expensive. What I found was, it doesnt make a difference. This provides good enough light to cover not only entire screen but also gives light to the laptop which is placed besides my monitor. So basically you get a good aread covered horizontally, and on the front however it will restrict the light till the keyboard. This is exactly how you want it while working in the dark.
★★★★★★★★★★ Fits well - even on my chunky framed monitor
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 January 2022
I really like this light, it provides good light, fits at a god height on my monitor, adjusts well to the size of the monitor and my webcam sits nicely on top of it too (Which is a bonus). The light also when powered from my monitor automatically goes to sleep with the monitor!
★★★★★★★★★★ Best lighting solution for pc desk
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 February 2021
Best thing I've bought for a long time. Resolved my problem of lighting up my keyboard and desk area without the need for harsh lighting and also saved space on my desk as i don't need my anglepoise lamp now. Definitely recommend this product.
★★★★★★★★★★ great light, poor fastening
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 January 2022
This gives the variety of light to meet many needs but the fastener that comes with it is dreadful. Perhaps it's ok on some monitors but for other situations it's best to remove it and tie it with a piece of wire or string or something.
★★★★★★★★★★ Nice product
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 January 2022
It does what it's supposed to and does it well. Fitting was easy and it was genuinely plug and play. I like the choice s of brightness and it does an excellent job. I would certainly buy this again if I needed another.
