The other end has a USB connector that you push into a slot on your computer, or, you can buy a plug to connect to your mains electric, that has 1, 2 or 4 slots for USB connectors. I had to buy a long mobile phone charging lead for mine. The lead supplied was too short. The batteries are in the base of the light.
