  A sleek modern design with a host of useful features.

  I'm normally not a fan of desk lamps. I don't generally like the look of most of them and they are usually too big for my space that I have. This one I've found has negated most of the issues I've found with desk lamps and more.Design: This is the most eye catching part of this product. The slim and modern look to fit in with any modern looking room. No more chunky, fat, ugly lamps in my opinion. And when I'm not using it I just fold it away and it barely takes up any space!Inside the package you get a micro USB cable to charge it and a mounting bracket with 3M tape if you wanted to hook it up to a wall or cupboard to have it vertical! Now I don't use a lamp very often (I usually have the lights off in my room at night and just have a few ambient LED lights) but when I do need lights, like if I'm eating dinner or something, using this is so much easier than me having to turn on my room lights. The built in battery means I can have it wherever I want without having to worry about an ugly cable on show or trying to find a plug point near by. I love the fold design and the way you can structure the lamp to several different looks.Quality: this is a very good quality product. I was quite surprised actually. Its all metal with strong solid hinges that hold their position when you're trying to set it at the position you want. Hinges are bidirectional which is another nice added touch so you don't have to worry about trying to fold it in only one way etc. And I love the black metallic finish on the lamp. The LED is very bright and the button on top controls it. You press it once to get the light on at full brightness. Then again for half brightness and again to turn it off. The only thing I'd like changed is the option to control brightness more precisely and RGB lighting with a smart phone app to go along with it. However for this pricing it's asking for too much...but maybe in a future iteration.Price: the price is an absolute bargain to be honest, for what you get and the added convenience. There's no light bulbs to change, no plugging in or looking for a wall socket to worry about. No bulky lamp that is usually more expensive to try and fit on your desk. Really a perfect product for those like me who want a simple lamp that looks stylish and works without wires and isn't bulky.

  I had been expecting something reasonably cheap and plasticky. Not a bit of it! This unit comes in a good quality package, and upon unpacking it the lamp turned out to be made to a very high quality. It is all metal, with a very solid feel. It is well-finished and attractive, with a well engineered look and feel. There are no sharp edges to scratch anything, the metal is rounded off at either end. The joints - i.e. the pivoted joints that allow it to unfold - are smooth and excellently weighted with the right amount of friction. The design means it is capable of being very flexible in its configurations, enabling you to get the height and angle of light-shining that you need. The lamp itself does not get hot. The unit arrived with the battery charged, which was convenient, and I've used it quite a bit since and it still hasn't run out! The light is bright, and even due to the generous lamp area, and there are two brightness levels. I bought this to use as an occasional extra light for when I am reading or using the laptop but it is so flexible that it is also very useful as a worklight when working in odd places where one normally ends up holding a torch in one's teeth! This device has really exceeded my expectations in terms of its quality and usability.>>>> Edit Jan 2019: unfortunately the switch refuses to turn on now, after just over a year. Whilst I have been very pleased with it, I would have reasonably expected it to last longer.

  Excellent but watch the charging socket (applies to all suppliers)

  I’d give 5 stars but you need to be careful when plugging in the charging lead. These lamps are sold by several companies under various names but they’re all liable to the charging socket disappearing inside the case. So, treat it with care because it’s a lovely light with a stable base and smooth operating frame. This is competitively priced and I’d happily recommend both the product and supplier.

  Compact, superb stylish design, well made and can be used so many ways!

  I really love this! It is really compact the way it all folds together so will definitely be coming camping with me as well as being useful around the house! The lamp charges by USB and the tiny little charging point is hidden away on the side of the top lamp section. The USB charging cable is included in the box. The box also includes a plastic hook with sticky pad for if you want to hang the lamp up. This can be folded out and flexed into many different positions and stays in position well. It feels very robust and well made. There are 2 brightness levels and it is a pleasant light to read with. I also found that it would be handy as a torch as you can use this even when it is folded up and the size fits well in the hand. Really useful!

  I bought this to replace a Chinese manufactured that did not last long and turned out to be alarmingly low manufacturing quality and needed a custom charger.To my delight, I was extremely pleased with the solid design / manufacturing quality along with the ease of using a USB charger - which only took a couple hours from no to full power. In use, it seems to last 7-8 hours before recharge is needed rather than the promised 4 hours and the light is much brighter too !!Overall a true 5-star product which I would recommend to all.

  This is simply one of the most pleasing items I have bought in a long time. From the moment you see the packaging, you get a positive impression. This is one quality item. The weight on the solid metal structure keeps it firmly where you put it. It feels sleek and pleasing to touch, with it's brushed metal frame. The way it folds in and out is delightful and you can't help playing with it. We use it to throw an extra light on the table for playing board games, and when I am sitting on the sofa embroidering something that needs very good light, it sits with the base under my thigh with the light focused on the work, and doesn't disturb anyone else. The two light levels are helpful. We take it camping using a couple of cheap power banks and it lasts all evening. There is a red light that tells you it is still charging. You could get a cheaper item that does the same job, but it won't give you the same satisfaction as this does!

  Brilliant, super modern, USB-charged lamp

  The media could not be loaded. I loved the slim appearance and the description of this LED lamp so I bought to replace an ancient lamp whose white plastic had become brittle and yellowed with age, and which was too big for the narrow shelf, in an alcove, that it was sitting on. This lovely matte silver coloured lamp is unusual, and is a modern design that will good anywhere. It came very nicely boxed, and included a USB charging cable, a useful self adhesive wall hook, and a user manual.The charging port is well ‘hidden’ on the side of the smallest piece (the lamp itself) near the bottom hinge. I don’t read instructions so it took me a moment to find it. I had great fun folding it into multi positions, until I found my favourite. The folded lamp is heavier than I expected - 300g/10.6ozs - but I love that it is lightweight all the same, and can be carried to any room. It would make a great camping (in a tent) light as it can be charged on a USB adapter plugged into a car’s 12v socket. In fact, it can be used in a car to read an atlas, book, magazine, etc. either when charged or plugged in, whilst waiting for someone in poor light.I love that it has three brightness levels, like most LED torches have, only uses 3w of power, and can face in any direction at different heights when free-standing. It does warn that frequent folding to re-position the light will probably eventually loosen the hinges (and it does not look as though these can be tightened) , but when this happens (and it collapses on itself) it can always bee hung on its bracket which, as well being sticky backed, has a hole in it so it can be hung on nail/picture pin. I love it.

  Excellent as a small bright source of light.

  Needed a light to light my PC keyboard, so grabbed this. Flex legs offer lots of position possibilities and are very well mfg, and the light on whatever of the 3 settings is really good. I always use the no. 3 brightest setting and it is a real WOW. It is charged by the enclosed usb, and for me using it for up to 6 hours on the top setting is the max over a few days. Charging is over a few hours and it is back up and running, but I have no idea if you can run it direct from the usb whilst in use.Other than my keyboard light, this light has a number of opportunities for other uses.Build quality is top notch, so is totally recommended by me/us.

  It’s not bad....UPDATE: It’s terrible!

  The media could not be loaded. UPDATE MAY 2018I’ve owned this a while now and only needed to use it on four occasions, each time feeling less certain of its capabilities. The fifth time it was very dim even though I made sure I charged it overnight. The sixth time I tried it (having been fully charged AGAIN) it was dead as a dodo. Not charging, not working, after less than six uses? It’s been a total waste of money! It does take a long time to fully charge if you don’t want to use it permananently plugged into a usb outlet. As the charge reduces eventually so does the light level. If used on a daily basis for more than a couple of hours I would recommend overnight top-ups to ensure optimum performance.The balance isn’t bad and it has a reassuring weight to it. There is obviously a limit to how far out you can extend the lamp away from the base before it becomes unstable but this is recompensed by the ability to then alter the angle of the lamp itself.Ten out of ten for portability and functionSeven out of ten for charging speed and battery life

  Flexible, bright (but not too bright), ideal desk lamp

  I needed to brighten up a dark corner for my home office and found this a reasonable price. I was stunned by the sleek packaging and how heavy it is for the size (which is a good thing). The flexibility of this lamp is fantastic, as you can angle it however you like. It's a white LED that provides a nice working light for my desktop PC in the darker hours.My only tiny criticisms are the USB port being in the top (although logical when you realise that's the only place for the battery) - although the cord is long enough to stand it up and still charge it from my desktop computer at the same time.The lamp also gets a little bit warm after extended use or charging, but again nothing I wouldn't expect from most lamps in this price range.100% recommend for a portable, flexible, handy desk or home lamp - my husband has already threatened to 'borrow' it for his garage workshop!
