This fantastic pair of modern touch table lamps with a stunning black chrome sturdy base each, are a wonderful addition to any contemporary home and any bedroom, lounge, hallway living room or office. The black polycotton shade allows the light to be dispersed evenly throughout the room. Simply touch the metal base to turn it on. The lights can be set to 4 stages: off, a low level light for mood lighting, a medium level light for general lighting and a high level light which is the brightest setting to create an intense pool of light. Practical and perfect for homework, writing, bedside reading, desk studying, hobbies, crafts or simply illuminating a corner. 2 x 40w SES E14 Candle Bulbs Are Required - Not Supplied Please Note: This lamp requires dimmable bulbs. - Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 January 2021Good functional lightsThese aren't the brightest lights, probably because of the black shades, but they are ideal for bedside lights for finding your way in the night .. probably not so much if you are looking for a bedside reading light.Really neat design, and look smart, bear in mind they are only quite small, but they work at three dimmable levels and the touch control is ideal for night time use, no looking around for switches. All in all I was pleased with this purchase, even if a little pricey.

Groping around in the dark for the lamp switch is a thing of the past with these particular lamps: the merest of touches and the lamp comes on. I'm delighted with them.Make sure that you purchase the right bulbs because otherwise they're not going to work.

The only thing is that our ones don't dim at all. I touch once to turn on and a further 3 to turn it off. So I belive the other 2 touches were to dim but mine doesn't on both.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 May 2016Bought these for my guest room but liked them so much that I put them in my ...Bought these for my guest room but liked them so much that I put them in my room instead, they look really nice on the bedside cabinets, they are small enough to have plenty of room on the top to put my book, glasses, cup of tea, or glass of wine (various munchies) and other items that my husband refers to my clutter, but they are nice and sturdy so as not to constantly knocking them over when reaching for aforementioned clutter and because it has a touch base I am not having to feel around for the on/of switch, which is a huge plus, and really what is not to like about the dimmer great stuff love them, and will of course get another set for the guest room, eventually.

The black shade means they create a a really nice light that is focused upwards towards the ceiling and means the lamps to not glare in your eye when you look at them. Didn't come with bulbs so had to order these separately once the lamps had arrived. The bulbs you need are 40W SES Candle with screw fixing and MUST be dimmable bulbs.
