The lampshade is a light colour and the light it gives out is a very nice bright light for reading at night.. It's much bigger than I expected but it looks great by the bedside. Would recommend this lamp. Many thanks to the seller.

The lights are easy to assemble. And quite traditional in looks however they are very dim. We found because we found not print the label off to send back we have to keep them.
