The black felt underneath the silver base overlapped and didn't fit properly. My sister has the same lamp and I was very excited to purchase mine. I'm a bit disappointed but have kept the lamp because this was the last one left on the Amazon website. I would recommend this seller again, but why send the lamp to me when it was not in perfect order.
