- Can you turn the lamp on and off without connecting/disconnecting plug or switch at the mains? Is there an inline on/off switch or what else instead?Not sure I understand the question however…. The light plugs in as normal so can be switched on/off at the wall. In addition when switched on at the wall the lamp is effectively in standby mode ready to be switched on/off or brightness adjusted using the remote control. Hope this helps.
- Is the floor lamp easy to assemble?Yes, easy to assemble.Be careful with the pole as you could cross the threaded parts! One was a bit tricky on the one I bought.
- The information says this has halogen and led bulbs. Could you explain how or why it has both?Only LEDs
- Can this be used to make a living room much brighter? Our room is north facing and the lights on the ceiling are feature lights so not brightYes, I have same issue with north facing sitting room. Light is adjustable in hue and brightness. I don’t use main ceiling light anymore. This was so good that I bought one for my parents house also. The remote is really handy as well. I would recommend this light.
