- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 August 2016Nice looking solid lamp.Nice solid heavy lamp. Not made of actual pipes joined together but a single mounded/cast piece. Looks good especially if fitted with a vintage style bulb as shown. Note: it doesn't come with a bulb and this needs to be bought separately. The suggested bulb pairing shown by Amazon comes from China and takes a few weeks.The vintage bulb also looks better if dimmed so the intricate 'squirrel cage' style filament can be seen without it being too bright. The lamp only has an on/off switch so a plug in dimmer can be bought separately if required.

I have tried 3 high quality bulbs (60w as instructed) and all three blow within hours. Something is very wrong with this product from an electrical standpoint. I have seen other customers with the same issues, so not an isolated incident unfortunately. Beware.

I spent £4 less on a load of rubbish from China unbeknown to me this has heavy weight so sturdy as for the bulb being dim , previous review l suggest they need eyes checked l have a 60w vintage bulb in use too bright . I would give this buy 100 if l could. i.e. lamp itself does not effect brightness etc get the right bulb!!!!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 December 2018If you're going to use an Edison bulb it's very dim.I bought the lamp for my son's desk under the stairs, it looks the part because it sits on a rustic desk but the lamp only takes 60w bulbs and because of the yellow tinge cast from the bulb the light is limited. It's still a lovely lamp, it's just no good for reading. Better off using a candle.

- Is there earthing in this lampNot on this particular lamp, l have lots of lamps over the years many have not had earth wire. This lamp l believe is constructed in UK, so quite safe. As any with no earth Hope that answers the question
- What type of plug is it? american two prong or u.k. three prong?Standard UK plug but it did look like this had been changed from what must have been there originally - cable is black and plug white!
