- I thought that this rack was free standing. The item we have received seems to need to be screwed to a shelf. Have we received the wrong item?Ours is free standing in a cupboard and filled with kitchen trays. Seems to work well and doesn't move, but it is a small space and fits snuggly in it, have a variety of sizes and shapes in it as well as our carving trays one circular one oval. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.
