Whilst I adore the range from Dalstrong, I saw the Hajegato offering from Sam and Ash and decided to take the plunge. It’s a stunning light weight knife and incredibly sharp. As a chefs knife (someone who loves to cook and try new things) it is so easy to use, makes fast work of a full variety of foods. I would highly recommend and am already looking at buying another one! Thankyou Sam and Ash.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 January 2021Beautiful knife, disappointing sharpness.First impression was that the knife was beautiful to look at and very well balanced, however, the cut was a little disappointing, the centre part of the blade felt almost blunt and needed a saw like action to penetrate the skin of a tomato, my other Damascus knives needed little to no pressure to slice through the same tomato. I will need to have this knife sharpened as it's too beautiful not to have in my collection.

In saying that I will be using this knife in preparation of shashimi, sushi, smaller vegetables and garnishes etc... as the blade is nice and thin. Very happy with my new knife, even looks great in the kitchen with it's colourful handle. Thank you Hajegato blades!

- Is this a true damascus blade and not etched onto the blade - in the photos the patterning is the same on each blade which would not be possible ?I love this blade and the unique handle, a thing of beauty. But, I've just received a knife with sharpener and finger guard from Mosfiata and I think I may prefer it. Both beautiful Damascus blades. Check it out before you commit ?
