  The description and image looked quirky and attractive, while being robust enough to stand up to my less than perfect record in keeping nice glasses.First impression out of the box was how small they were, as even a standard small measure would be too much. The maximum amount wine in my opinion is 100ml the description states large capacity which trust me is over flowing.This may not be a massive issue for everyone but the description is still misleading. My purchase price with Amazon Prime of £33.00 means I am not bothered enough to send back but at the now much higher price a different story especially as the glass is not flawless with two clear join lines plain to see.Its not all bad news I love the decorative bees, also the robust design. Just be aware especially since John Lewis is selling at the more reasonable price.

  Sturdy goblets

  These glasses are reassuringly chunky and weighty, making them very suitable for use in the garden although they are pretty and elegant enough to adorn the dinner table as well.Each glass is decorated with four embossed bees around the rim and all of the ones I have seen have visible seams on two sides where the two halves have been joined together, although the extent of visibility varies quite significantly from appearing like a crack in the glass (with an indent big enough to catch a nail in) to a more imperceptible lined ridge. I've looked through a good quantity in a shop that is selling the glasses at a much higher price than the RRP, which rules out seconds, and didn't find any 'perfect' examples.Whilst I would normally consider the moulding issues as a fault, somehow it almost adds a little bit to the charm of the glasses. I certainly find myself reaching for these in the cupboard in preference to others.

  'Bee'autiful Glasses!

  'Chunky' heavy wine glasses. Arrived very well packaged and on time. After going through a spate of breaking wine glasses, I decided that I needed something more sturdy. These are totally what I was looking for and won't easily be knocked over or shattered in the dish washer.Extremely happy with this purchase.

  Beautfiul and Practical

  These Larochere glasses have a lovely summery look to them, the bees make one think of sunny days, picnics and drinks on a terrace. The glasses are sturdily made, v well made, and despite their good looks are durable. I bung mine in a dishwasher and have recently dropped one downstairs, which the glass survived without a chip or crack. These are moulded glass (there is a visible seam) but don't be put off, they are designed to look like elegant glasses which would be socially acceptable to use at a dinner party. They make a lovely change from all the dull ubiquitous modern 'sleek' ie boring and featureless glasses normally on sale everywhere for everyday household usage. I love these, v pleased I found them, they go with crisp white linen table cloths, embroidered by an ancestress but are durable enough to use all the time for fruit juice, water or a decent wine. Perfect, practical glasses which are v good value for money, it's no surprise Larochere has been making glasses for centuries, superb. I want to get some more, the whole range.

  Attractive and sturdy

  I was in search of a wine glass which would not break with rough use; this fits the bill. I like the bee design and the shape is nice too. Don't care much for the seams on either side of the glass but perhaps that is necessary in this type of glass product.

  Loving these glasses..

  These stemmed glasses are lovely.. Elegant and get strong looking.. Perfect for Bailey's .. Sherry.. Or any beverage.. .i have. Even served desserts in them.. Nice size.. And I only own two.. So hope to buy more soon.. And some tall tumblers.. And small tumblers.. They arrived well backed..and if I could afford more right now.. I would buy more.. And I am fussy.. So my advice is to try something from this range.. But leave some for me...

  Nice but....

  They're ok but not as nice as I'd hoped. They look like two halves spliced together., they have a visible seam down both sides of the glass. Was hoping to collect the whole range but the seams are just too ugly.
