Hand Blown - Quality Control ?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 December 2020
I have just received another pair to go with a pair that I bought last year. Identical product, but they don't quite match.Close enough to pass a casual inspection, but the profile of the bowl is slight different, slightly narrower and deeper, the biggest difference is the diameter of the base which is noticeably smaller (7mm) compared with the ones that I bought last year.So if like me you are like me, buying to add to an existing set, don't expect an exact match. Now I do wonder whether the design has actually changed or whether this is the nature of hand-blown glass with less than perfect quality control.I have also read suggestions that Amazon are selling seconds - I would not hope not as these were bought from Amazon not a Marketplace seller and I would like to think that Amazon would not do that sort of thing. I'm more inclined to put it down to these being hand-blow with a less than perfect quality control so in principle every glass that comes out of the factory may be slightly different.I pondered whether to keep these or not but have decided to return them. What made my decide was that I was taking photos to show the size difference and noticed that when I looked down the stem of my old pair they are perfectly clear but when I do the same with the new ones the views are impaired by numerous flaws. I can imagine these might form weak points leading to the stems snapping

    Nice quality and looks.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 December 2019
I've been through quiet a few gin glasses as they're always a bit delicate and break easily. There's a few mentions on here that they break easily but mine have lasted well and actually appear fairly sturdy for a gin glass. They certainly look and feel good and it always has that placebo effect of making the gin taste better when it's presented well. The volume is slightly less than the average gin glass which I prefer as I don't like to fill the glass with ice. Would make a good gift for a gin lover as you can never have too many gin glasses.

Really nice handmade glasses, make a great gift
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 October 2019
I bought these as a Christmas present for my cousin, and the first thing he said when he took them out of the packaging is that they look hand made, which they are. There are subtle natural variations, so if you want absolutely identical glasses, look elsewhere. Other than that they are just really nice gin glasses, slightly more unusual in shape (flatter) and well packaged for gifting. They have a decent weight to them but like any glass you need to be careful when handling. Would definitely consider them for myself if I didn't have a couple sets of different branded glasses already!

Lovely glasses and on trend! Came very well protected. Bought as a birthday gift and when gin & tonic goes out of fashion and prawn cocktails come back these glasses will still be lovely.

Beautiful glasses that are just the right size
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 October 2020
Beautiful looking glasses from a top brand. They make a lovely gift. A couple of years ago I bought ballon glasses online for my wife but they are tooo big. I misjudged the size. So i bought these LSA glasses as a replacement and they are perfect. Beautiful design. Ideal size.

    Check carefully!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 May 2020
The first set of glasses I sent were clearly seconds and would have been rejected by anyone buying them in person at a shop. The stems had not been properly attached to the bowl of either glass, with one particularly badly finished. They should have been rejected at production stage or at least clearly labelled as seconds. I immediately returned the item and received a replacement. It was second time lucky. The glasses are great, look modern and I'm very happy with them. So this is a guarded endorsement - check the glasses carefully when you first receive them and send them back if they're trying to palm you off with seconds!

    Stylish glass
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 April 2017
Stylish glasses a bit pricy but are worth it. They go with the rest of my LSA glasses and they of the same high quality. For once they weren't rammed in the box which was useful!

Certainly enjoy drinking my gin out of these

Certainly enjoy drinking my gin out of these. They are a little difficult as the glass empties so keep them topped up!

    Not usual LSA standard
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 May 2021
Most of my everyday glass wear are LSA and these are the first ones I’ve had that have bubbles in them and not of the quality I usually get . Personally I think they are factory seconds and of the quality of glasses I’d expect to pay half the price at most

  • do they come in a nice box?
They came in a box and wrapped in bubble wrap. wouldn't say the box was 'nice'. It had pictures of the glasses on the outside. It was sturdy and functional. I did give them as a present though and they were well received.

We recommend this item is hand washed as it has a hand painted metallic stem. If you are looking for a gin glass which can be washed in a dishwasher we have a collection called Balloon which is dishwasher safe.
