- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 September 2013Villeroy and Boch Octavie 206ml water goblet.I just love this design, it is so elegant and was delighted to be able to replace 2 broken ones as I believe the design has been discontinued. The water goblet makes an excellent red wine glass as there is more room for the wine to breathe. The rather badly packed parcel covered in parcel tape arrived earlier than predicted one glass was broken. I contacted China chaps and a charming helpful young lady offered to replace the glass, I mentioned that the packing was very poor. The parcel arrived next day and the contrast in the packing was unbelievable, really professional and the glass arrived safely.

Very polite and helpful delivery driver.These glasses were more masculine than others I found which was great as I got two for my dad's 70th. It was a bit annoying that there wasn't at least an option for a nice box. I ordered a box separately, and it turned out ok in the end. The labels on the brandy goblets were quite sticky and left a bit of a shabby mess behind on the glass which was quite annoying.Either way dad was thrilled with his gift and uses them all the time so no REAL complaints.

I already have 8 of these glasses but due to two house moves 2 have gotten broken, so when I saw them on Amazon I was thrilled. I measured the height as this is how they are sold. Imagine my dismay when they arrived that the height was correct but the bowl diameter was much smaller - no match. Had to return them which was painless and straightforward. But I was very dissappointed and dont understand it.

- What the volume of the glass in ml please?Hi Scott, I have no idea! But I only use this wonderful tumbler for drinking brandy or whisky from, so I don’t need to know its ml volume!!! But the bowl of the glass is about 5” high and 4” across if that helps....!!! And it’s a lovely weight to hold ???
- What is the capacity of the glass?Just poured a full glass (of water) into a measuring jug - 350ml. Although I find the usual volume to be related to my condition and the price of the liquor. A beautiful glass but beware, fragile at joint of base and stem.
