Customer Review
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 August 2017Steer clear!Awful pans. Do not buy! They are not non stick as they claim to be. The water gets stuck in the lid which is disgusting and annoying. Whatever i cook burns on the bottom of the pans. Very disappointed!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 September 20183 of the 5 pans don't work on Induction HobI ordered this 5 piece saucepan set specifically for an new Induction Hob. How disappointing - only the large saucepan and large frying pan can be detected on the induction hob.We have tried the remaining 2 saucepans and smaller frying pan on a friends induction hob and they are not detected on their's either. But when i tried the small Tefal Jamie Oliver saucepan on all 4 zones of my induction hob it worked perfectly. There is obviously a fault with the smaller saucepans/frying pan. I contacted Tower customer service and their reply was that they couldn’t do anything and it was the responsibility of the seller ‘Amazon’ during the first year of purchase. Luckily Amazon issued a return label. Having now read other reviews of this product others have also had the same problem using these pans on induction hobs. Wish I had read them before because I would never have ordered them . Now replaced with a set of Jamie Oliver Tefal pans - fantastic and a great price on Amazon
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 August 2018Hit & Miss with induction hobs, no support !Bit of a hit a miss with these pots we have an induction hop and that was one of the reasons we went for these, pot seem to be a hit or miss when you put them on the hob, sometimes they work sometimes they don’t ? Not the hob as we checked this out with other pots we have ? But otherwise a great set of pots, easy clean etc just a bit of a let down with the induction side of things ?.Update ! Contacting the support for this product is a waste of time as so far I have no reply to my emails, so give this lot a miss if you have a induction hob
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 December 2016Could have been great, but let down by the frying pansQuite light and good handles. I just did scrambled egg in the small fry pan with no oil and although it cooked very very quickly and I overdid the eggs, hardly anything got left behind in the pan. So far after a few days use no complaints and only positive thoughts re cooking and more importantly, cleaning.** EDIT **Unfortunately, I have just found the same as others posting reviews, that the fry pan/s are not good after all. I just did a simple with-oil fry of some onions and it has left a mark around the base which will not come off. I would not recommend these pans.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 July 2018Terrible Long Term Non Stick PerformanceBought these pans after reading the reviews and in the price range, seemed like a good deal for ceramic non stick coatings.Having had the pans 3 months, i can honestly say the non stick coatings, at least on the biggest frying pan, are none existent anymore. Almost anything we cook, with or without oil, sticks to the pan. These pans were bought to replace some old none stick pans that have seen better days. At first they were great but after about a month, the none stick properties ceased to exist and I may as well have stuck with my original pans.Overall, very disappointed with the non stick coatings and generally consider this purchase to be a total waste of money as it was specifically based on the ceramic coatings :/
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 May 2018Amazing!I’ve wanted to buy a set of these pans for a long time. These are an absolute god-send. Even heat distribution do the pan doesn’t over boil, nothing sticks. And the pans just need a wipe with a hot soapy cloth after using.Delivery arrived earlier than quoted, box undamaged with a cheerful amazon driver (a rare species).I’m a chef, at work things are different, but at home I need something that makes cooking quick, easy and simple. These bad boys have ticked all the boxes so far!5++ stars
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 July 2021Great for less than 6 month usage. Rubbish nowWhen I first got these pans for use on gas cooker I was very impressed. I have a dishwasher but meticulously washed by hand since November 2020 with no scouring etc and only use wooden utensils. After 3 months we started to notice that the non stick coating must have been wearing away in both frying pans.. Now 8 months from purchase the pans are terrible. Not fit for purpose and makes me think that I probably been better off with cheaper pans. So upset as spent all my birthday money on them as a splurge.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 March 2021A costly mistake. Low quality and No stick for about a weekWe’ve had these pans for 6 weeks. The ceramic surface of the frying pans already look very scruffy and have absolutely no non stick qualities, with or without oil. This is despite following the cleaning and care instructions to the letter. The surface of the pots are better but the handles on 2 pans have come loose on a number of occasions already. These are basically entry level pans and probably on par with a set of Asda ‘basics’. Don’t be fooled by the price reduction on them, they are probably still over priced by £20. Our main regret is that we are outside of the Amazon return period, we should have acted sooner - a costly mistake.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 April 2016Great low fat pans but because the bases are dimpled ...Great low fat pans but because the bases are dimpled they are not ideal for induction hobs (the reason we bought them). They work on smaller hobs but do not cover 60% of the surface area so do not work on the correct hobs. Having said that, they use almost no fat to cook with
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 January 2017Fantastic!Absolutely fantastic! It was time to upgrade our pans to a matching set and better quality. My fiancé was tired of scorching steel pans, burning herself on unprotected metal handles. This alleviates all of her complaints. She loves them, and has commented on them every time she cooks [so, daily]. They're so easy to clean. We are happy.
