Customer Review
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 September 2019Looks good but totally inaccurate spec. measurements!Looks great - however, inaccurate spec. measurements given on website mean it doesn't fit. They only give the external width of 112cm, on the Medium (although it's actually only just over 109cm. That's a big difference!). However, the internal measurement is the crucial one that should be shown, as it's 106cm. I had measured my rad (including pipes) to be 109cm, thinking I would have 3cm spare, so I ordered the Medium. Any way you look at it, the details should be more accurate so, as a customer, you can make a better decision before buying. Obviously I was being optimistic with my measurements but if the specs given are so wrong, I had no chance.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2018Looks great in hallwayLove this product, it looks fabulous and really easy to put together. Hopefully sturdy enough! Looks great, thanks
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 October 2019Love it BUT my radiator isn’t compatible.Managed to put this together myself. One issue is with the compatibility of my radiator. I picked the correct size BUT because my radiator thermostat sticks horizontally from the radiator and opposed to vertically at the side, the slight arch in the side of the radiator cover does not match up and I’ve currently got to sit it at an angle in order to have it almost in position. I’m going to have to get a jigsaw and carve my own extra arch into it to fit my radiator.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 May 2018Avoid at all costs! Lots of pieces and poor quality. You know that phrase "cheap naff"...well you have been warned. Listen to these reviews! This company seriously cannot be proud of this product. This is a landfill product! Why do we bother producing tat? The sort of radiator cover you should buy, is the one that comes in 4 pieces...not the one that comes in 40 pieces(ok so I didn't count them). Not only does it come in lots of pieces but the material is low quality and the paint is easily chipped. You have to attach every slat individually! The top isn't one complete piece, but 2, who wants a join?! I've had another from this company and slightly better quality, so avoid this one at all costs! The best radiator cover I've bought is from the other big company begining with "A", you know the one with the catalogue. WINTERFOLD is the name and yes, it's way more expensive...wait till it goes on offer at half price. Do not cave, because of price, like I first did with this. But trust me, that one comes in four pieces, slightly glossy and of far superior quality. Took me less than making a coffee's time to erect. THIS CHELSEA RADIATOR DOES NOT HIDE YOUR RADIATOR! The slats are too far part...look at the photo properly and you'll understand if you have a ugly radiator! Zoom in. Seriously if you are looking at a pretty radiator cover, buy the one I recommend...you can always return if you don't agree with me. Look at reviews. I'm so angry that humans think it's ok to manufacture poor quality items like this. Why? There is mdf then there is THIS mdf!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 June 2018AMAZING....Firstly, apologise for the messy walls, I’m half way through decorating. Now, this radiator is beautiful, solid and so easy to put together. Don’t read the horror stories because i’ll Whinge at anything. The finish is sleek and no scuffs or dents anywhere. The locking bolts could be a bit better - one didn’t want to do its job, but did in the end. Radiator cover is sturdy and the nails DONT GO THROUGH THE PANELS...if they do you’re doing it all wrong and shouldn’t be using a drill anyway! Really, really impressed.Delivery is about 5-6 days, even with prime.I will be purchasing more!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 May 2019It’s abit long winded to put togetherThank you for my new radiator cover (well storage heater lol) I love it. It’s abit annoying having to screw every single slat on as I have had this cover before in another property and didn’t have to do this!! But it’s perfect just what I wanted. Definitely recommend for value for money and it looked great!! Just what I wanted. Thanks again
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 October 2018BrilliantAbsolutely love it! Finishes my Hallway of nicely! Fantastic quality for the price!!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 September 2018Substandard product , worse customer serviceThe actual product has so many faults I have ordered 3 now & every one has a fault ! . But the real let down has to be the customer service or lack of . Once you buy this product DONT expect ANY sort of after service . My advise many other companies supply similar, pay a bit more maybe but you could get some respect as a customer because from this company you'll get none .
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 October 2018Shocking quality itemPrice = ok. Arrived in decent time and looks 'ok' from a distance BUT the quality of the materials and build are shocking, pretty much every locking tab insert pushed through the outside face when tightened !Looks terrible close up and quite frankly shouldn't happen !Not impressed ?
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 December 2018Looks OK but not great quality. As a radiator cover, it works well and covers the radiator. However, like a few other reviewers there is a problem with the lock nuts.I’ve built enough furniture from the Swedish flat pack company to know how to do a lock nut. These one are quite flimsy, and the mdf is not great quality. But giving them an initial tighten left quite a gap among the edge. Nipping them up pulled the sides in, which is correct, but they also cracked the painted surface on the other side. This is quite simply because the material is not thick enough. There is no way the lock nut should break through like this - and it happened with every one. I was tightening them all from the back, so didn’t realise until I’d done them all.It does look good and covers the entire radiator including values etc. I attached the wall hangers with self adhesive hook hanging tabs, which seem more accurate than drilling holes in the wall.
Customer questions and answers
- What is the method of puting this cover on radiator?Does ot need drill machine or we can do without itI used screwdriver to put radiator together but used drill to attach it to wall
- Can you order the smaller? As I would need approx a 70-75 width? ThanksYh probably as medium is bigger
- Can this be used to cover a storage heater?I have used on storage heaters for years. They are not quite deep enough and won't go flush to wall and you will be able to see heater behind front panel, BUT it definitely improves the appearance. I don't think it affects heat given off and it isn't dangerous. If your storage are old, gone that crusty yellow colour, … see more I have used on storage heaters for years.
