The… see more I have found this stylish bit of kit very effective at controlling everything from fine (invisible - PM2.5 sized) particles and household polutants such as fumes from cleaning chemicals, cooking, etc. I have tried a number of air purifiers over the years (living next to a trunk road) and this one does the job well. There is an option (using the AEG app on a smart phone) to turn on the ionizer, which is also useful for cleaning the air BUT be aware that the ionising does make some of the dust move to solid surfaces. Whether this setting (which is common on all air purifiers) works for you will depend on your feelings about having to wipe the wall nearest to the air purifier every now and again. But, with heavy dust, the fan kicks in at a higher level to collect as much dust as possible. The top selling points for me were the stylish look (some look very industrial) and the quietness of the fan - some air purifiers are a real pain to live with because the fans are so noisy. see less

So, I can only comment on the AX9 Breeze 360 multi-layer Filter - specifically to combat vehicle emissions and particulates as we live adjacent to a main road, but it also helps with home-based pollution (cooking/woodburners) too. First bought in mid-August 2021, the filter has 22% life left (indicated through the Android app used for remote control and management). So, more than twelve months. I am not sure whether the filter efficiency degrades more or less quickly towards the end of its usefulness - my best estimate would be a further 3 months - 15 months in total. see less
