  Lovely patio furniture, comfortable, takes a couple of hours to assemble

  Received this just 2 days after placing the order, Sunday night ordered, delivered on Tuesday. Very quick. The furniture came in 2 boxes, one large, one medium - all well packaged, no missing parts or defects. I opened the boxes at 7 pm yesterday evening, and laid all pieces on the lawn (see photo). I finished assembling it on my own by 9 pm (just before dark). The photo showing it complete was taken this morning (7 am), so the colours look a little off.I have read the other reviews and partly agree this isn't the easiest to assemble. The instructions are fine, each item has a sticker with a letter on it, the instructions say with item goes next, along with how many nuts and bolts (all provided). There have been several reviews which mention the need for drilling. There were instances for me where holes didn't quite line up.Tip 1: don't tighten each nut and bolt up one at a time. Instead, loosely fit all of the nuts and bolts for each section you are working on first (e.g. table, bench, stool or sofa), this gives you 'wriggle room', allowing all the bolts to fit fine. Then, at the end, tighten all the nuts. I didn't have to drill any holes and all items lined up fine.The cushions are better than expected, both in comfort and quality. The material is very thick and appears strong. It didn't rain last night so I am unable to say how it fairs on being waterproof. We have bought the recommended Draper cover that we will use with the furniture if the weather gets bad, and certainly throughout the winter.The clear tempered glass is affixed to the table with plastic suction cups, which are already fixed to the top of the table. There is nothing else holding the glass in place, so I was a little cautious on whether this would be suffice. But as soon as I lowered it into place, it immediately stuck fast. No need to wet the suction cups, just lower into place as-is.Tip 2: if you have a screwdriver which takes hex bits, and a proper 10 mm spanner, use them instead of tools provided. It will make the job a lot easier, and you can tighten the nuts properly.Allow 2 hours, it can be done with 1 person (I did, a middle age male), although a second person would make it easier when joining the 2 sections of the L-Shaped sofa together.All in all, highly recommended bit of kit, hopefully, it will remain that way for years to come.

  Where do I start.......

  I read all the other reviews before buying this but decided to go for it anyway. What a mistake. It started off well, delivered within 2 days, and all the bits seemed to be there. I built the little stool first and then the big one, but after that all the trouble started. The instructions were not clear at all but to be honest, it was just common sense where the screws went. My problem was that the pre-drilled holes did not align. At all. Some of the pieces hook together with a fixed piece of plastic which you slot in and then put the screws in, but when the plastic was in, the screws didn't align. You had to use the fixed plastic bit otherwise it would leave a gap and show through it. This made it impossible for me to attach the two sofas together at the end, so they are now just pushed together without being fixed to each other. Also, you could see where the screws weren't flush together, with the screw visible through the joins. It wasn't like wood where you could just drill another hole, it is thick, rigid plastic, and if it doesn't fit the first time, you have a big problem. The cushions covered a lot of this, but it was a botch job and not worth £599 after this. Finally some of the sofa legs did not sit on the ground which made it wobbly. I contacted Amazon and after laughing my head off at their initial offer of £25 back, I managed to get a partial refund which made me feel slightly better. There was no way I was going to dismantle it and send it back, or get a replacement, so there it sits, wobbly and unattached in my garden. It took me hours to build due to only being able to turn the alan key half way each time because of the awkward angles. It's definitely a 2 man/woman job and should not be attempted if you have anger issues. It looks great apart from that and if you have a nifty man with a drill, it may be that it works for you.

  We read the reviews on this before we purchased it and a few commented that it was difficult to assemble and my husband had to agree, however thankfully as the nuts and bolts were there and no parts missing. The finished product is beautiful and we are absolutely delighted with it - it looks fabulous in our garden. The order arrived very promptly and what a great delivery service. All in all it is excellent value for money.

  Contrary to other reviews, I found this easy to assemble but does take a couple of hours. No problems with screw holes either - all aligned perfectly. A good tip is to hand tighten all the bolts first, then tighten the furthest apart ones first and this keeps everything in alignment. Managed to assemble it on my own but it would have been easier with two people especially the final part where the two sections need bolted together for the corner settee. The best way to do this is to turn the whole lot upside down so that the bolts can be accessed. Would be a good idea for the manufacturers to include this in the instructions in future. The furniture seems sturdy once completed and I'm sure will survive the ravages of the British weather. Cushions are excellent quality and a giant cover is included which covers the whole set. Just need to figure a way to secure the cover to my decking as I'm sure it will become a big parachute in windy weather. (Edited to add - discovered later there are loops on the bottom of the cover so it can be neatly secured under the feet of the furniture, so no more worries about the wind!)

  Be prepared to drill new holes to get screws to go in!

  Took 4 hours to try and put together. None of the holes line up properly. Bolts poke through the rattan which will split when pressure put on it. The sections will not connect together so are just pushed together! Trying to get help from Amazon but no response from their help assistant yet ... impossible to send back as all opened for construction. I need to get someone to drill new holes through the frames but do not expect to be doing that after spending nearly £600!!

  Extremely difficult to assemble

  We bought this rattan garden set as it's the perfect size for our new patio area, however, it's possibly the most difficult piece of furniture we've ever put together . Some of the screw holes are not aligned corrrectly, making it very difficult to join the 2 sofas together and the glass top doesn't sit in a recess, it literally just sits on top of the table with suckers to hold it in place, which don't seem very safe. We would have returned the complete set if it wasn't for the fact we had spent almost 4 hours putting it together and the thought of dismantling It didn't appeal to us . Theonly positive thing to say is it looks nice .

  Easy to put together and looks great once completed. Those that say the screw holes don't align up are clearly doing it wrong. When putting together put all the screws in loose and once all in place, then going around tightening them, I hand tightened 1st then went around doing them all up more again but not completely and repeated the process until all was tight. Great product easy assembly and no missing parts.

  Very pleased with this garden set which fit nicely into out gazebo. My wife and I took four hours slowly putting it together, some screws were left over at the end as they were difficult to get to. But it’s fine, comfortable and looks good. Visitors thought it was more expensive than what we paid. One of the table brackets was bent and the leg is slightly out of line as a consequence. The cover is great, it is comfortable to sit on. I expect it to hold its colour as it is protected from the sun. Very pleased with this purchase, it’s quality, speedy delivery, price, and my cat loves it.
