The canopy is made from UV resistant polyester to prevent fading. The canopy is also machine washable and can be removed easily when required. The parasol is finished off with an attractive wooden finial which simply screws in at the top.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 June 2019virtually no assembly - good quality sturdy parasolI am very pleased with this parasol - it arrived well packaged, and apart from screwing the top on, and joining the parasol to the base 'centre pole', there was nothing to do except put it in the table and in the nice new granite base - made sitting in the sun (that nice weekend we had at the end of May - remember?!) more comfortable for all concerned - a good value well priced good quality parasol - would recommend
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 August 2020Plastic not hardwood finialMy main complaint is that the advertised “wooden finial” is actually cheap plastic and not hardwood at all. With the sharp edges of the plastic, I’m not happy about tightening this onto the fabric because it would risk tearing it. Real shame because a hardwood finial doesn’t cost much and it speaks volumes that a company advertising a hardwood parasol is using plastic. Do I need to inspect other pieces to look for plastic I ask myself.

I didn’t think I would find anything as good so I was surprised to find a replica in this one. Hardwood, strong canopy and easy to use pulley system.Liked it so much I bought another!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 May 2017Great Parasol!An excellent buy! The cord-and-pulley system for raising the parasol works perfectly. There are 3 height settings for the extended parasol. The usual metal pin keeps the parasol in place when raised. A nice touch is the provision of a hook portion on the pin, which allows you to hang up the dangling cord, keeping it from messing with your table, if you have one. The vertical rod is the larger diameter type and is made of wood, as are the various struts. Overall the item is very sturdy and should last a good long time. Is OK against light showers. Very pleased with this so far!

I contacted the seller to ask to be reimbursed the difference and despite having provided screenshots the seller did not believe me and did not reimburse any extra money charged. I can't fault the quality of the item, it seems to be good. My only regret is not having bought one that was tilting which would have been very useful for our north facing garden when having dinner.

It arrived very quickly, packaged well and is a great umbrella for the garden.It replaced our old one which had survived more than 10 years! This one is well made and should also last a good while.

Looks very stylish. One tip when putting together. Put some grease on the screw threads where the main pole screws together that way the pole will unscrew easily when putting away for the winter. Very happy with this product?
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 July 2017ParasolHardwood pole, sturdy, only issue I have is unless I'm doing it the wrong way, I had to secure the parasol by putting the peg in the ground, it stayed up ok, no issues, lovely colour, well made, came not long after purchase, had problems with the initial setting up, from using the old one, needed some tools to put it up, maybe that's just us though. Happy with the product
