Think about this before you buy...
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 August 2020
so it looks great, it comes with weights, its span is huge. This i wish I had known.1. It doesn't lock into position, so moves about unless it is a completely still day2. If its open, the weights don't hold it down in a breeze3. Its not easy to move about and because it won't lock in position, that is annoying4. Im not sure that its any improvement on the traditional patio brolly with a metal stand5. You can't reduce the size to a low position, even reducing the pole height it stays quite highWould I but it again....not sure. Wish I had researched and gone to see them before buying.

    Not a sturdy item
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 September 2020
Only had this item for 2 months and the winch handle has broken rendering the product useless. I thought it seemed flimsy for the weight of the brolly and unfortunately I have been proved right.

    Be careful of this purchase
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 May 2021
Buyer be careful. We waited about 3 months before we opened the box as the weather was terrible by which time we could not make any closing.1. The plastic top of umbrella was broken.2. The handle for winching the umbrella up and down is labelled in reverse ie to raise the umbrella you need to “turn the winch and lower it”3. The umbrella does not lock once round up into the top of the umbrella frame and as such moves around a lot and will potentially break.4 the box implies there is a bag to protect the umbrella when down, there is NOT a bag. It’s ok if you don’t expect the umbrella to last more than one year. If this is the case it’s very expensive. Be careful with this purchase the advertising looks and sounds great but in practice it’s questionable.5) I have noticed the rope is fraying and once it snaps then it’s money wasted it can’t be repaired. Please don’t waste you money, the pictures look great but they will! In practice either buy something slightly more expensive or use traditional umbrellas that go through the hole in the table into a solid base.I wish I opened the box in February and found these problems then.

    It’s good

It’s a nice parasol but not the greatest. It comes with the weights, (which u have to fill with water) I leave it out rain or shine. It’s sturdy enough.

    got here eventually
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 July 2020
Looks good. Certainly keeps the sun off and is fairly easy to work. The delivery was a bit hit and miss but got here in the end. Only thing I would say is some of the plastic fittings look a bit shonky but we will see how they fair over time and use. Also shorter people my have difficulty erecting it alone. All in all though it's a lovely edition to the garden.

    Large sun shade
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 September 2020
Its certainly a decent size but its not good at coping with a mild breeze. The infrastructure of the stand is not robust. The water filled stand anchor works well but would benefit from a single plate that connects them rather than 4 separate connectors .

    Late delivery, poor quality!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2020
Sat in all day waiting only to be told at 8.15pm that it wouldn't be delivered until the next day, or even the day after! And to be honest I feel considering the price it's very poor quality, I'm sorry I purchased it.

    Worst Product I've ever purchased
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 June 2021
Foolishly I thought I was buying a quality garden product, how wrong could one be. It looked good on the Amazon page and to be truthful I felt it was a good price. it came in two deliveries, not that it was mentioned in the description, but it got to me. As I ordered in March i didn't get round to assembling it until quite recently as the weather improved. Clearly the base needs to be heavy to weight it fair enough but the device itself, looks good on first glance but in reality, the winch is stiff to use which I guess would wear off, but the reason I am so disappointed in this product is it just will not stay still, no matter how tight you clamp the upright. A slight whisper of wind is enough to set the 'parasol' in motion with the boom arm following. Regrettably as it was so bulky I did not keep the packaging, nor as I mentioned it earlier, did I assemble it on arrival. I've thought of contacting the seller, perhaps they might contact me, but if you are considering this item all i will say is if you have a totally wind-proof sheltered area that you want to shield from the sun, it might work but moving the water filled base is way to difficult. I had it hoped it could be configured to be simply mounted through an outdoor table, but sadly not possible. One to avoid and I've a family somewhat upset they can't enjoy the good weather and dismayed the 'return window' has passed. Dreadful product.

Customer questions and answers

  • Does this parasol tilt and is it sturdy? TIA
The parasol unfortunately does not "tilt" and is "rigid" and sturdy...as long as you fill the base pieces (4) if bought with the parasol stand, with either sand or water it is fine..no problem with mine :) hope this answers your question
  • Is there a video of instructions for putting it together?
    No
  • Can I buy without the base
You can but I wouldn’t as the base is recommend by the manufacture so there fir if you have problems with it they may say you didn’t use the correct bade and it’s also very good and where you fill in with water you can empty it fir storage during the winter
  • The parasol was delivered today without the base weight. Will this arrive separately?
    Yes
