The only reason I'm rateing 4* is because the alignments were out on one of the chairs meaning it has one less screw than it should, otherwise perfect. Slightly smaller than anticipated but it is perfect otherwise

- Is this stable on carpet on only for solid flooring?Yes, I've got wood flooring but I have a thick fluffy rug under the table
- Do the chairs sit flush under the table?Hello No the chairs sit further out from the table Hope this helps
- What material is it and can you put hot items on it?To be honest I'm not completely sure what this table is made out of, I do put hot stuff on there but tend to use place mats, I will, say this is a very sturdy tablet to assemble and looks absolutely fantastic and very modern. I'd highly recommend this table to anyone.
