  Looks Nice, Smells Nice, but is a Devil to Assemble

  First things first, this console table looks lovely - even better than pictured. And it smells great too, even after it's been out of the box for a few months. It's definitely a quality product, there's no doubt about that, but it comes at a price.If you thought IKEA furniture could be a bit of a devil to put together, you clearly haven't tried assembling anything manufactured by Corona. Diagonal screws into flat wood without even so much as a pilot hole, sometimes from an angle where you need an extra joint in your arm between your wrist and your elbow to screw it without causing a sprain, really are not fun. You will need specialist equipment, like angled and torque screwdrivers, to get this assembled quickly and painlessly. At times, you will wind up wearing down the cross at the top of a screw and be unable to screw (or unscrew) it anymore, which is infuriating, and purely down to the fact that sometimes you have to come at it from an angle where it assumes you have the aforementioned additional joint in your arm, that you have no knuckles, and that you can exert enough force in just your fingertips to screw straight into unprepared wood.The above hasn't deterred me from buying more Corona stuff - in fact, I have done (though through eBay as it's way cheaper than on here... and I suspect that buying direct from Corona's website might be even cheaper still). It's lovely, but a real pain to put together.

  Great table at a great price

  Brilliant table and perfect size for a standard size hallway- the quality of the wood is great and really well packed. Only issue was a few did screws but apart from that I'd highly recommend.

  An entertaining afternoon putting together a rather pleasant side table

  Decided to darken the colour with some wood stain (so it would better match other furniture in the same room). Couple of coats later, rubbed the components down gently and used some wood glue to strengthen the assembly. Now have a rather pleasant and solid table which will do its job brilliantly. Couldn't buy the wood itself for the money and similar units going for £200 (and a long) plus in local furniture shops. Most pleased with it and do certainly recommend.PS: Having read other people's comments, cannot understand the issues they complain about ... These things are made in a production line and should therefore be all the same ie. same holes in the same places ... I really had no issues assembling the unit and I do not consider myself a particularly gifted 'packed furniture assembler'. Still very happy with it and would still recommend.

  Looks good up and to be honest after the nightmare of putting up same range in drawers and tallboy, this build was a doddle. The number one tip I have for this range is that if you can, chuck out all the screws with the kit and use better quality. They consistently split wood as not sharp and the pozi top is so soft they turn into mush and you can't get them out if you need to. Need a smaller driver end as well. This item was an easy build as I have said and for once the pieces had all the right holes drilled into them. Cheap soft wood but ideal for guest room occasional use. Don't think it would stand heavy use. I would glue drawers together as well. I won't be buying any more corona furniture as usually bad to build but hey this was so cheap can't really complain.

  I love it. it took around a hour to assemble on my own. Be careful to follow the instructions carefully as it can be tricky at some parts so carefully look at where the holes are in the pictures but worth it in the end. I have Corona furniture which i have had for years so had to get this to add to the collection. Price is very good for solid wood and looks great. It can also be painted but i wax min to keep wood looking good.

  I ordered this on Tuesday, it was delivered Wednesday lunchtime. The instructions say two people, 40minutes, With one person it took an hour. mainly because I kept checking to make sure I was on the right page. The instructions were clear, all pictures, but well defined, and not blurry photocopies. And the finshed table looks like it cost three times the amount we paid. We will be ordering the three drawer unit soon to compliment it.The only thing I would add is that if you have a power screwdriver, this makes the job so much easier.

  I was a bit dubious of this product with it being cheap however the quality does not reflect the price, this is lovely chunky wood. It came well packaged and was so easy to put together. It looks really nice and not cheap looking at all. I won't hesitate to buy from this range again.

  Nice and useful console table

  This piece of furniture makes a perfect stand for my house plants. Affordable, easy to assemble, and quality looks fine to me. I used a small paint brush to apply PVA to each dowel hole before inserting the dowel. Careful to ensure main frame members and legs are properly aligned by pressing fully home and check with T square (helps if 2 people, or some clamps). Most of the screws were # 2 philips , also # 1 philips for the drawers. The screws insert at acute angles so that no brackets are needed, but changeable tip type screwdriver may not access screw properly, so best to use fixed tip screwdrivers that don't have any bulge near the tip. I enjoyed putting it together, and I'm pleased with the result.

  Don't waste your money

  Terrible piece of "furniture" ordered one and sent it back as it was broken.Sent back and they only pay £4.75 postage, when it's a 10kg item and cheapest I could send it back for was £6.99.Second one holes drilled in wrong place, as it was a gift that I had to take home and then return and by time I got back to my friend with it the return window had closed. Waste of money on a really poor piece of furniture.Incorrect drilling, dowel holes far to big, wonky. Do not buy

  One of the support brackets has it dowel holes drilled in totally the wrong place rendering it useless. Im too annoyed to arrange a return because I've already spent time assembling drawers etc. There are also scuff marks on the bottom shelf. Really disappointed with this especially how Amazon refuse to ask supplier for replacement parts. They offered me a replacement but I'd have to dismantle and then rebuild new one.!!!
