  Well made, stylish bankers lamp

  This is a great lamp and fantastic value given most bankers' lamps are so expensive! Mine had no flaws and the shade is perfect, with great opacity, letting through a lovely soft, white light. There's a couple of small things worth noting, firstly there is no pull chain to turn it on/off like is tradition for many lamps of this style, the on/off switch is inline on the cable like most modern lamps instead, and secondly, the cable is actually quite short at only 1.5m long. This is just about enough for me to go from the top of my piano to the adapter on the floor, but that's something to be aware of if your sockets are far away. Otherwise, this is a great lamp that looks stylish, is really well made and the base is nice and heavy, stopping it from toppling over too easy, even with a curious cat in the room as I have. A lovely lamp and well worth the asking price.

  Nice lamp - great value

  Like many other reviewers, I found this lamp to be great value for money - while the base is not super heavy, it is heavy enough to keep the lamp's balance when switched on - the switch is on the cord which is a bronzed color that matches the base and the base is felted so that it will not scratch the surface on which it is placed. The glass lamp shade is a pretty pearl white that diffuses the light really nicely - the bulb, which is not provided, is a maximum of 11W - I put a 5W in temporarily, as this is what I had around, and it adequately does the job of lighting my desk workspace in the evening. The lamp is really attractive and not at all cheap or tacky - . Very pleased with this purchase and grateful to the other reviewers for their help with this purchase.

  Great Quality

  My lamp arrived today and i`m very pleased that i chose this lamp . After trying a couple different bankers lamps and returned them, i`m happy to have given this one a go . It looks very elegant and fits in well with my decor without dominating the whole room . The base and the shade are in proportion with each other , unlike the others i`ve tried that seem to have very big and heavy bases . Also a nice touch which i found unusual is that the flex and plug are almost the same colour as the base. I would buy this again it`s a great little lamp and great value for money .

  Lovely table lamp, well made and the very first time I have given a 5 * review for anything. well worth the money and looks more expensive. Only down side comment I have is why do they always make the cable short, this is not just this lamp but all in general.

  Was what I was looking for, and looks good in its part of the room. Lot of light with a decent bulb in it. No negatives.

  Classy lamp

  Elegant lamp worth the money very well packed - would benefit from information on bulb to use - we have not put a bulb in yet but its a lovely lamp - tall and elegant shape nice white shade - sturdy but of course needs to be placed in safe place to protect it.

  Rather disappointing

  Having purchased this based upon the many positive reviews I was very disappointed with the quality upon delivery. The glass shade has flaws in several places but most significantly it contained significant pitting in one area. A return already lodged.

  Looks stunning

  I had a green bankers light and wanted a white one, this is sturdy and looks stunning. I was worried the quality might not be great but rest assured it most certainly is.

  Very disappointing. Not remotely like the photo on the website.

  The antique brass finish doesn’t look like antique brass at all and the glass cover referred to as “opal” is actually a very cold white. We ordered two and only unpacked one. I was so disappointed I didn’t even bother opening the second one and will be returning them tomorrow.

  Great value, looks like it should cost more

  Really happy with the finish of this lamp. Looks like it should cost more than it does. If only they did one with a green shade for my office desk!
