NOT non stick - lasted 6 months
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 April 2020
Not non stick! Wish I'd have read reviews before purchasing!!Despite following Manufacturers instructions, these pans are rubbish !They have lasted around 6 months max, the teflon coating has peeled away, we have already binned the largest frying pan due to major sticking, the picture shown is the smaller frying pan, we have only used silicone materials for cooking and for cleaning fairy washing up liquid and a sponge, these pans are suppose to be dishwasher safe so we have put the lids in, the lids all but one fit correctly but wash well in the dishwasher. We were lucky to get these at 25% off full retail but I wished we hadn't bothered. Save your money and buy an alternative.

    WORLD OF CHANGE
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 March 2019
Hi we got this set as we were looking to save space as I think Most would go for this them dreaded handles. So got the package first of all it arrived early so great , first meal was shepherd Pie so normally it would take a pan to fry mince then potatoes then move to oven dish not with saute pan one pan did all that while had another pan on with potatoes once done mashed then a bit cheeses on top for my son and into oven so in total what would have taken at least three different items used two , then risotto one pan the lot, also bought the straining lid great item , so quick easy to use easy to clean and then perfect to store away on top of each other brilliant items, will just keep adding to this set as well made items great value for money Very Very Happy that's why to me its a five star rating all the way

    Good pot set !
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 September 2019
It’s been 5 months since I’ve got this product, I must say I love my set it ticked all the boxes for the main reason why I bought it which was •1 storage •2 non stick •3 straight from stove top to oven. However there could be a few improvements such as a dedicated space for the handle as it tends to chip the non stick surface , after I got a hang of it I’ve managed not to chip any more and tend to only attach it at the same spot where the chip is.The first day of cooking in it, it got scratched I’m still kind of puzzled as I was using a wooden spoon so I don’t really know what went wrong there. I have developed a few scratches on some of the pots as my kids use them as well but it’s not deteriorating as fast as the other non stick pots I’ve bought .Cooking without oil with some foods like bacon is a breeze but I’ve also noticed because the lids makes two air vent at the side sometimes it’s hard to keep gravy in the pot when cooking some dishes but I’ve learnt to adapt to it. The lid handle sometimes needs re tightening also.I could do with a lid for the bigger pot as well as I have a big family and sometimes need to use the wok as a normal stewing pot.Overall as said above I love my set but improvements could be made

    Great pans
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 May 2020
I bought these pans mainly for their storage advantages as well as being able to transfer food from stove to oven in the same pan and so far they have been great.------ The handle ------The handle is fine and grips the pans well without any slip or movement. It does concern me that it is metal gripping metal and could wear away the surface but I have seen no evidence of this yet.------ Cooking space ------I would say from what I have cooked e.g. casseroles, curries and stir frys etc there is enough space to cook for 3 in the larger pan and 2 in the smaller pan. The walls are not too high but certainly taller than a frying pan so you can fit more in.------ Cleaning ------Cleaning the pan has been easy. As it is non-stick everything comes off with a quick wipe and it's ready to go again.------ Storage ------Storing is easy as the pans just stack inside each other and without the handles offsetting the stack they are easy to retreive and put back. I would suggest putting something between the pans like a small cloth so the surfaces are not constantly banging when being put away or retreived, which scratches the surface and wears away the non-stick coating.------ Conclusion -----I would highly recommend these pans, they have worked well and for the price offer a more useful cooking experience in terms of being able to go from stove to oven as well as storing them better. I have been on the look out for something like this for a long time but the prices always seem to high. This strikes a good balance for what you get and based on the construction and metals no corners have been cut here in my opinion. If you have more than 3 people in your household I would maybe give this a miss, you may need the larger pan of this set and then what would be the next larger pan up to cover most scenarios.

Brilliant set, easy to use and store.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 January 2018
Absolutely brilliant, no more storage problems, no more handles sticking out all angles and jamming in the drawer. I'm a fan of heavy saucepans normally, but find it difficult to lift them now. These tefal are easily the best saucepan set I've ever had, lightweight yet tough. Easy to clean, a quick rinse, wipe with a damp cloth and it's clean. Everything cooks well and it's an asset being able to transfer pots and pans straight to the oven. Only nag I have is that the lids have to be removed for oven use, but as they also stack easily

    Early thoughts
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 August 2019
So I've been looking at these for a while as I was really hacked off with our leaning tower of pans that would collapse if you even looked at them in the wrong way. So the idea of removable handles and pans that stacked inside each other was a thing of dreams. Price dropped to £80 on prime day so I took the plunge.Really good quality pans with a good mix of sizes. I especially like the saute pan which is a half frying half sauce hybrid. Lids are good but I have a slight reservation whether the butterfly style handles will last the test of time.Non stick coating is great and you can fry an egg with no oil and no sticking.I'm hoping these last as currently I'm very happy with them.

    Poor Quality, design over substance
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 October 2019
Poor quality long term. I bought these pans a few months ago and they are already showing wear and tear. The handles do not last. I've contacted Tefal who've suggested I'm cooking with the handle over an open flame, which I'm not. If the pans aren't designed to be used with gas hobs then I'd suggest a redesign or removal from that market. The pans themselves feel light and flimsy and the lids do no close in a sturdy way, they balance and don't trap in steam.they are handy for popping things in the oven or storage but they are not worth the cost for the small convenience they provide. For this amount of money I expected pans to last years, not months, and handles that last week. Very poor

They must be good...we bought some more.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 June 2021
We bought a set of these several years ago, but those were looking a bit battle scarred so we bought a nice shiny new set. I like the fact that they all stack inside one another and take up less space. I also like the fact that the handles can be detached, which also saves storage space. In fact my only gripe is that very occasionally the handles go berserk, we have had to replace two over the years, one under warranty and the next one I couldn’t be bothered with the faff of dealing with Tefal again, so I just bought one.

Rubbish handle design and plastic on Handle prone to burning
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 January 2021
I ordered these pans thinking they would be a great given that they are from a top brand such as Tefal.I read the reviews and tried to ignore anything too negative about these pans but I was wrong to do so at my own peril. On first use once they were out of the box the handle seems very secure, however when used on a hob the plastic part on the handle began to melt a caused the distinct smell of burning plastic in the kitchen. The design is rubbish in that the plastic on the handle is prone to heating up by a flame being close to it, this caused a horrible smell in our kitchen which lingered for ages. The part of the handle that heats up I have photographed and shown, also where the plastic has started to burn it has bubbled and also started to show signs of cracking, this is with the FIRST use of the pan. I am realy disappointed by this design as I had high hopes for it.

Customer questions and answers

  • Are they suitable for use on a gas hob?
Hi, yes they are but you need to get the correct set of pans. Don't get the halogen pans if you're using them on a gas hob.
  • what is induction hobs. regards jk
Induction jobs have smooth glass tops with embedded elements. When electric current is applied, the changing electromagnetic field creates the heat which heats the metal of the pan which in turn heats the food in it. David Carr
  • I bought this item however small pan has blistered and has started to peel off
All mine did to be honest. Totally rubbish. I didn't know till after I binned them someone said there was a 12 month warranty on them. I was super careful with mine too... a lot of money wasted.
  • I need glass lids for both the pans, where or what can anyone recommend.
Amazon do a lid set for theses pans or you can buy direct from tefal.
